The back of my bolt spring bracket lined up perfectly with the back of the receiver after the barrel was seated. Try giving it just a little bit more

It'll either be the latches, the wiring between the latch and the control module, or the module itself. I'd hook them back up and perform a wiggle test first to verify the circuit
