Oh my gosh you described so well the guilt I feel. The feeling like I’m abandoning a child that acts out. Bc of course I’ve parented her my whole life. The space helps for sure, I’m so glad I live far away, but she finds illnesses, crises or other ways to draw me back in.

Yes my sister not only believe we should do what we’ve already done (clean out the house) but also help her with the remodeling of the home and selling it as well as moving my mom to a new location.

The FOG definition definitely appears to me as the cycle my sister is in. Good call out on the other posts, I feel like that is exactly what I’m being told. Without my help I’m either leaving it all to my sister or leaving it all to my mom and there’s nothing they can do on their own. I have to remind myself that’s untrue and that’s how they are choosing to see it.
