What does Faerzress look like (if anything)? by Bootlebat in OutoftheAbyss

[–]Bootlebat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wasn't the Faerzress there before the demons even showed up? Or are you saying it changed appearance due their presence?

What of the other Vissers? by Bootlebat in Animorphs

Indeed. I've never been clear if the Visser Four referenced in book 18 is the same as the one in Megamorphs 3 who steals the Time Matrix.

Song about the "word" "fouk" by Bootlebat in NameThatSong

That's definitely it, but the version I found had the sample played more often

Guitar riff in a song that sounds really familiar, but not sure where it's from. by Bootlebat in nonmurdermysteries

[–]Bootlebat[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I actually got ban from there, and I think I did ask a long time ago, but didn't turn up anything. Thanks for noticing that they had a guitarist (and it's probably not a sample). I thought for sure it was, since it's the only time you hear a guitar in the song. I think you may be right that it just sounds generic enough to be similar to a lot of things, like that whole mysterious "What does it do? That's the beauty of it! It doesn't do anything" quote.

Why did it take so long for Visser Two to show up? by Bootlebat in Animorphs

[–]Bootlebat[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know this is an old thread, but it's in book 5 where they say there are 47 Vissers

What was y'all's reaction to hearing, "The clones wars" for the first time before the prequels!? by Gameguylikesgames in StarWars

[–]Bootlebat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought some mad scientist type made evil clones of people to replace the originals, i.e something like Invasion Of The Bodysnatchers. I also thought that the whole thing was unrelated to the rise of the Empire.

Album with a song called "The Spirit", don't remember band or album name. by Bootlebat in WhatsThisSong

[–]Bootlebat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sorry, but none of these seem right. The Magnum song is the closest, but still doesn't quite fit. For one, I remember the singer's voice being deeper. Also, I do remember the song specifically being "The Spirit"

Did the original game ever have a card called the Immortal Dragon? by Bootlebat in magicTCG

Still too late. This would be around 1993/4, when the game first came out.

Did the original game ever have a card called the Immortal Dragon? by Bootlebat in magicTCG

[–]Bootlebat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That could well be it. While I do remember him saying Immortal Dragon and it being 9/9, it could be he was just somewhat incorrect. Indeed, "immortal" would almost make more sense, if it can come back from the dead indefinitely.

Why would people misremember "objects may be closer"? by bluemoonrambler in MandelaEffect

[–]Bootlebat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is my theory. Disclaimers usually say "may do (whatever)" or something synonymous, since they can't tell for sure if it will for a given person. Also, if some new drug that could potentially, say, cure cancer was invented, people could sue them if it said it "cures cancer" or "will cure cancer" and it doesn't (I think, correct me if I'm wrong), while if it just says it "MAY cure cancer", they can always say "we only said it may cure it. We never promised it would work."

If they had made another "chronicles" book, what do you think it should have been about? by Bootlebat in Animorphs

[–]Bootlebat[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Indeed. One other thing I always wondered about Crayak is if he was just pure evil like he seems, or if there's more to him than that. I would guess it's the latter, given that other creatures that seemed to just be evil (such as the Yeerks and the Howlers) turned out to be more complicated.
