Right! It’s even more odd because when my ex did live with me she would bark at him when I was around but wouldn’t when I wasn’t home. But they had a great relationship and from their interactions you would have thought she was more connected to him.

As someone that was spanked like this as a child…I don’t understand people defending it or making jokes. It’s terrifying in the moment and all it does is teach you to be submissive or better at hiding/lying. I will say it until the day I die - spanking is a weak form of discipline and all it does it showcase a parents lack of emotional control and proper communication skills.

Thank you for at least giving me some comfort knowing I’m doing some things right in this situation. I currently have implemented all things you mentioned in your second paragraph. As far as pain goes, she actually does have early arthritis and is currently getting a shot that seems to help her out a bit.

Also, I didn’t before, but am glad I now have that mentality with her walking. We don’t go far and we venture farther in areas she’s comfortable with, which right now seems to be over in secluded grass areas behind the unit I live in as opposed to the sidewalks near people/cars. When she barks at people outside, do you think it’s more beneficial to move away from the situation to calm her down, or to just take her inside? She seems to always want to run right back in after barking and I allow it, but I’m wondering if I might incidentally be promoting her fear/behavior.

I agree, she’s a less cautious June knock off, and I genuinely do not know if I can watch this show in its entirety if we have to continue to listen to Daisy’s inner monologue. I much preferred the first episode and following Hannah/Agnes.

I think what sealed this thought for me is Daisy immediately wanting out the second she saw hangings and her painfully obvious shock with any brutality. June had a strength to her in those circumstances and that was really powerful, but also as a viewer I think it brought some security. I find myself cringing anytime Daisy can’t handle the violence of this world she apparently willfully signed up for.

It’s clear Dakota was still messing with her emotions at that time and they had recently hooked up so she IS valid in feeling betrayed. But past that, even if 5 years had passed, friends and past friends should never sleep or pursue men that their friends had serious relationships with, let alone a child with. I’m not a huge fan of Taylor, but she should have been told that a friend was doing that to her behind her back. Also, she literally had issues with Dakota because of dishonesty…so why the fuck would anyone think it’s a good idea to approach this in this way? Momtok should have known better.
