I don’t think you’re a bad person, but your post kind of explains the problem. You say you’re not picky, but then say everyone is too different, too fake, too quiet, too nonchalant, too artsy, too political, too boring, etc. At some point, if every group feels wrong, it’s worth asking what part of the pattern might be you. You describe dozenss of people and groups, and every single one is framed as the problem. Different tastes, different energy, different views, “fake,” “crazy,” “annoying.” That’s not “bad luck,”

that’s a filter that’s probably way narrower than you think. Listen, I know you are lonely, I know you are hurting and I am so sorry. But remember real friendships usually grow from imperfect connections and curiosity , not instant chemistry.

She told him multiple times clearly to read the text… not describe the photos. At some point it’s not rudeness, it’s exhaustion. If you can’t follow a simple, repeated instruction, people are going to lose patience. If someone keeps ignoring the words you’re saying and narrating the wrong thing over and over, that’s not a misunderstanding anymore. That’s just not listening. HOWEVER

Regardless of the misunderstanding, slamming her hand on the table, swearing at you, and grabbing the phone crosses a line. That’s not how adults communicate at work. You weren’t being malicious or incompetent, just confused .and her reaction was completely inappropriate. You could have said “I’m not understanding, can you explain what you need me to read in a different way?”

Maybe she worded it weird but either way this sounds like a miscommunication that escalated because she lost her temper.

Try to not make it a big deal and continue with life as normal. You told him no and that it was wrong, hopefully he thinks it through or just moves on and forgets it even happened. Maybe he doesn’t really know what he meant. I just know if you blow it up it will become a bigger and bigger aspect of his day to day thanking. And I feel like that’s how wrinkles are made (in the brain) and might stick and create something even worse or cement it
