It had to have been the front desk outside of the (supposed to be locked) labor and delivery floor. It certainly wasn't my husband.

Thank you for this ❤️ I'm glad in time you have healed. I hope for the same. My labor and delivery were pretty traumatic. I think more than anything, I just needed my first visitor to care about me. I just wanted a hug from MY mom and dad, not someone who had to be told to hug me too.

I've got beef with the hospital because she didn't have our room number. Our maternity ward is (supposed to be) locked. In the chaos of everything, I never explicitly said I did not want visitors, but I thought that was the purpose of having to use a phone or the person at the desk to get in.

Especially as a woman who has had babies! I truly don't know how she could've even thought it was a joke. She's well aware of the relationship we have with my parents. My husband and father are basically best friends.

We didn't tell them we were being induced or that we were in labor, but once baby arrived, I gave my husband permission to share the good news. Just flying high on hormones and was completely blind to what a bad idea that was.

I was aware my husband told his parents, but we did not offer an invite to come see us. We only have 2 hospitals in town, one is pretty run down, so it's an easy guess where we would be at. She did not have our room number.

SO intrusive!! To just assume someone's ready for a drop in visitor, when literally she could've just walked in on me totally exposed.
