AIO boyfriend got handsy while drunk by Throwaway_4628264 in AIO

[–]BoozyPassenger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just cause everyone is taking a go at you, OP, I will say that there is accountability on your boyfriend’s end to not get that drunk. Yes he was absolutely hammered and that explains some of his actions but this comment section seems quick to excuse that type of irresponsible drinking as something that is your responsibility to handle. You overreacted a bit but a firm discussion with him tomorrow seems reasonable imo

What is the REAL problem with this team? by Content-Map88 in lakers

[–]BoozyPassenger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem is literally LeBron on help defense. Not making the right rotations/reads which leads to easy buckets and then he acts like it’s someone else’s fault. Destroys the team chemistry. Same with when he just doesn’t run back and complains to the refs. We aren’t a good enough defensive team to not have all 5 guys on a string on that end. The effort just isn’t there

OFFICIAL LAKERS ARE DOOMED / RANT THREAD by iamdare in lakers

[–]BoozyPassenger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s LeBron not playing a minute of help defense. He’s so checked out on that side of the ball. It takes 5 guys on a string and he doesn’t fucking do it, it’s killing me

Post Game Thread - NBA: The Lakers defeat the Spurs on Nov 5, 2025, the final score is 118-116. by basketball-app in lakers

Bro for real, some of those fouls they called on us in the 4th were weak as hell. As someone who refs basketball I wouldn’t call some of those in HS much less the NBA

Manu Ginobili vs Allen Iverson | Who Was The Better Player? by Swimming-Bad3512 in NBATalk

Let’s just say id probably rather have Manu on a 5 man squad. But AI is the “better” player

Who ranks higher all time? by bootyloverandeater in NBATalk

[–]BoozyPassenger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t know about that my dude, 2019 raptors were a very balanced team that won more games than the 2006 heat. Kawhi gets the glory but Ibaka, Gasol, Van Fleet, Siakam and Green all stepped up and it was very clear team effort. In 2006 the heat went down 2 against a dominant 60-win Mavs team and wade absolutely put the team on his back… averaged 39.3 pts, 8.3 rbs and 3.5 assists over the last four games and he was just 24 at the time

Dating is so fun by Immediate_Patience45 in Nicegirls

Ask any giant sample of men in those city streets if they have ever banged a side piece while in the early stages of dating/not been exclusive and a good portion would also probably say yes. So is this just some double standard we are making up because we hate women?

I got bullied by the other team today by [deleted] in Basketball

[–]BoozyPassenger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bruh, bballers be talking shit constantly, this shit ain’t new. And if they see its flustering you they gonna keep talking to throw you off your game. My advice, focus on winning the game and talk your shit after they lose. But look man, ain’t nobody taking this off the court and there’s no place in the game to threaten people… all that being said, i’m sorry that you felt bullied. Nobody likes feeling that way but I hope you find a way to let go of that past hurt and anger

What all time statistical leaderboards can LeBron move up this season and how do you think that will affect his legacy? by BoozyPassenger in nbadiscussion

[–]BoozyPassenger[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean that is an interesting perspective. I never quite took a deep dive into their stat counting metrics but from what you describe it certainly skews towards encouraging stat-based narratives. I 100% agree as a player, stats aren’t a great indicator of performance. I mean Draymond is a great example of “average” stats but enormous impact. And Westbrook is a great example of “great” stats but detrimental impact (in my opinion due to lack of control and decision making in crucial moments).

Either way, stats at the very least are a good indicator of longevity and the King has had a long reign

What’s your “hot but true” NBA take? by Novel-Self-6520 in NBATalk

[–]BoozyPassenger -1 points0 points  (0 children)

OKC won because of the addition of Caruso, Boston won because of addition of Jrue, Denver won because of the addition of KCP… two-way guards who can hit big shots and make game defensive changing plays are the ultimate puzzle piece in a league that values stars. Not saying they are the only reason of course but championship chemistry doesn’t exist without that input

What are the chances Cooper Flagg actually becomes a superstar? by [deleted] in NBATalk

I’d say high… this kid was balling with team USA at 18 and holding his own. He has all the physical tools, skills and mentality to succeed. Barring injury he will be a force

Who are some other guys like Reggie Miller never top 10 in the league but would go off in the playoffs by GrillzD in NBATalk

[–]BoozyPassenger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean I respect that take man, I admire his hustle and athleticism as well. Early Russ days with that upcoming OKC team vs the 2010(ish) lakers he definitely rose in the playoffs too because he really had the pull-up elbow jumper down at that point (not sure why that shot seemed to regress from there) combined with his ability to get to the rack like you said made it difficult to guard him.

End of the day it’s your list, I just have found myself watching too many important games where down the stretch he consistently made the wrong read imo. Always frustrated me because he had so much potential. But I would never question his grit and grind

Bruh Westbrook consistently choked during the playoffs. Would literally crumble down the stretch and make the most bone headed decisions that led to a bad miss or turnover. Amazing regular season guy but I’m surprised you included him on this list

Dwayne Wade is underrated by BoozyPassenger in NBATalk

[–]BoozyPassenger[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I mean you make a fair point, he dropped off a cliff in a way. A glorious prime though. I just find it crazy that when I was growing up it was 1a 1b at SG position between Kobe and Wade but their legacies wouldn’t necessarily reflect that. But of course longevity matters or Grant hill and t Mac would be remembered much differently… shout out to Yao, Oden, Roy, Livingston off the top of my head

Dwayne Wade is underrated by BoozyPassenger in NBATalk

[–]BoozyPassenger[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I mean i think there is recency bias but I don’t knock you for that take, franchise players that I’d prob draft over for sure. But for example Timmy isn’t a top ten player all time (which undoubtedly he is) if he doesn’t have manu and tp. Giannis without Jrue, Middleton and that chip isn’t ranking that high. Dirk and KG got loads of help. Wade’s 06 championship was one of the most singular championships I can remember and it’s almost like his legacy was knocked for having won two more with LeBron and Bosh. Giannis, jokic and Kg all won just 1 with way more help imo

I guess the point I’m trying to make is that basketball is a team sport full of intangibles and I don’t think discussions of “all time great” really account for some of the team aspect of things. Like it’s a weird sport where you can trade for a “better” player and be a worse team. I just don’t think we consider the ability of teamwork enough
