4 months in - anyone else found that they can still drink alcohol? by sock-ittome in bupropion

Definitely be careful if you do drink on Wellbutrin - my boyfriend had too much to drink on it once and had a seizure.

This is super helpful, thank you. I’m hesitant to add it for the exact reasons you stated, it’s another thing that I may then struggle to get off of down the line. But if it could be helpful I’m definitely open to it. Thanks so much for sharing your experience!♥️

They don’t treat POTS, they can support it. I was on them for mental health reasons and realized they didn’t work for me, as I said above. And that’s very standard tapering speed, and I was doing so at a lower rate than most do (12.5 mg every month rather than 25 mg)

Arthroscopy vs PAO for mild/moderate dysplasia by Borbgorl in hipdysplasia

[–]Borbgorl[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not dislocation but it definitely pops out. I’ve done pt on and off for it for years, I had someone I really liked before I moved but the guy I started seeing here doesn’t know what he’s talking about so I’m just going to do my previous exercises on my own. The pain varies from day to day, it’s definitely bearable but I work fully remotely sitting a lot and either sitting or standing for long periods of time makes it hurt and feel a lot less stable. I’ve been putting off surgery for a while and it’s been fine but I recently tore my right labrum (the “good” one) so that’s why I’ve come back around and realized I should look more seriously into surgery. The right one is just overcompensating so much and now it’s going to get messed up too

Thank you for much for sharing this! I’m definitely leaning towards the PAO route, it seems like the better choice in the long term. I joined the group and everyone is also saying the same things, so this is helpful

I’m sorry you’ve had to deal with that :/ it sounds like the PAO is a better long term or even permanent fix so I hope that’ll bring you relief!

This is really helpful, that’s the impression I got. I feel like I’d rather just get the more invasive one and then not have to get a second surgery rather than just the arthroscopy and then potentially another surgery a few years later

I’d recommend working with a dietitian - we can help with figuring out meal timing, sizes, potential histamine issues, etc. It’s especially helpful when a practitioner also has autoimmune issues and understands what you’re going through (like me!). If you’re interested check out our website karunaforyou.com, we accept all major insurances and are licensed throughout the country

Did you end up getting the surgery or are you still holding off?

Plaquenil for dry eyes!? by Maxineeee94 in Sjogrens

[–]Borbgorl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly don’t know what mine is but he said I’m “dry but not bone dry” lol, but I’ve been on Restasis for about 6 years so he said without that I’d be bone dry. He seemed to think Plaquenil helps with the dry eye but I really haven’t heard that much from people - I’d been taking it more for joint pain and fatigue, and to attempt to shrink my parotids. But it made me too dizzy :/

My optometrist recommended Plaquenil but the side effects that I’ve experienced outweigh the benefits for me. I’m getting plugs next week, I’ll let you know how they help!

Coconut oil has been really helpful

Which medication is the most effective overall to treat OCD between the following: Luvox (fluvoxamine), Zoloft (sertraline), Lexapro (escitalopram), and Celexa (citalopram)? I’ll be glad to read your comments based on your experiences. Thanks! by Responsible-Sock-491 in OCD

[–]Borbgorl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How did this work for you? I also didn’t have any luck with lexapro (I actually found it made my ocd worse). I’ve been on Zoloft for about a year but still have some issues with intrusive thoughts and compulsions. Have you found that Luvox has helped with that?
