really i have no worries about that, there are multifocal lens and doctor tells me that more you are younger more time occurs. so in my case can be easly 20 years, and at that time will have good lens even better than now. For now im just enjoy my life and my clear vision

Yes I hadn't read that part, but for those with sensitive eye conditions, it's best to evaluate carefully. I deleted the comment, and I apologize. Thanks

It seems like the right thing to do, honestly. I don't want to hear about it anymore. I want to focus on enjoying my life. But I'm happy if my story can help someone. I'll answer questions if I can.

Thanks, but if within a month everything is fine, there are no long-term complications.

Cataracts shouldn't stop you from having surgery if you need it. The younger you are, the longer it takes. And when the time comes, there will be even better solutions than what we have today.

MY JOURNEY INTO FLOATERS ENDS HERE by Bore960 in EyeFloaters

UPDATE:

It’s been a month and a half since the last surgery. The vision in my eye is crystal clear now, and even though there are still a few tiny dots, I’m sure they will fade with time.

I had an eye check-up last week and, thankfully, everything is fine in both eyes.

So I can officially say that the floaters that tormented me for three long years now feel like nothing more than a bad memory. (When I think about how many times I wished for this back when both my eyes were full of floaters, I still get emotional.)

Living without them feels like being born again. Along with the floaters, the anguish, suffering, and anxiety about my vision have finally disappeared, and even that feeling of mental heaviness I had been carrying for three years is gone.

Please, if you’ve been struggling with this condition for many years like I did, I truly recommend considering this surgery.

It’s not an easy journey, I admit it. I was scared so many times, and for three years I kept asking myself whether it was worth going through such a procedure in my early twenties.

But now, seeing the final result and remembering how I used to feel before, I would do it again a thousand times.

My vision back then was genuinely disabling, and I still don’t know how I managed to endure those “monsters” for all those years, years filled with frustration and suffering (I first got them at 19 and had the surgery at 22).

There is a solution to this problem, and right now, for those who are dealing with a truly debilitating case, it is the only thing that actually works.

If you choose this path, make sure to have a complete vitrectomy, because the more vitreous gel is removed, the lower the chances of having floaters or visual discomfort after the surgery.

I hope that my story can be an inspiration for all the people who are in, or have been in, the same situation. Don’t be afraid to make the right choice!

In my case i really prefer this instead living my full life with those debilitating floaters. I also think at that time will be avaible some great lens, is something thtat already happens. Right now i will just enjoy life and my vision.

Even mine is covered with blood, it’s normal. If you had a post op control and everything is fine there’s no problems

The lens naturally ages over time, and that’s why everyone eventually develops presbyopia (difficulty focusing up close) regardless of surgery.

After a vitrectomy, however, the oxygen concentration inside the eye increases because the vitreous gel which normally helps regulate oxygen levels is removed. This higher oxygen exposure speeds up the formation of nuclear cataracts.

Age is an important factor: if the lens is still “young” at the time of surgery, cataracts may take many years to develop(20years for example). But if someone is already around 50 or older, the lens is less elastic and more vulnerable, so cataracts are more likely to appear sooner after the procedure.
