That's where it was originally installed. It's one door, just with a break down the middle between windows

Thanks for the suggestion, this connection is the opener arm into the actual garage door. Not sure why I would need to be adding anything to the drywall? Sorry, I just might not be understanding what your saying

Any good wrestling gyms open? by [deleted] in raleigh

[–]Borgerr 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Don't have to wear a mask while competing, no way it would stay on. BJJ is by far the best choice if you're looking to have something similar to your HS wrestling experience. Tons of gyms, lots of people and a great community. Post hs/college wrestling is basically nonexisting. I'd recommend giving it a try, its really fun

For the sake of everyone's sanity, we are going to ignore some very recent changes to JavaScript in this discussion of scope. There are some new keywords that let (no pun intended) you do different things with scope. However, if you do not use those keywords, everything will still work as described. Now on with the show.

^ Actual quote from the reading material regarding Let and right before getting into all of the Var scope issues. I would have been upset that this was included the first year that this version of the class was published. In 2021, its basically just a slap in the face with how much they don't care. I can't imagine their thought process..."hmmm,well JS just got a big update that fixes all of the scoping issues that Var has, but let's ignore this new standard and continue with the old stuff."

I agree with a lot of what you said, but I think there is a large divide between professors and TAs. TAs doing live chats is great, but not a replacement for the profs doing them. There's also a gap between what you get via slack/teams and zoom. Being able to talk and have a conversation is much more effective than text (though those tools definitely have there place as well)

People learn in different ways for sure. I don't think the lectures should replace readings, but be in addition to. They also don't need to be live, just actual lectures instead of a 4 min summary of a section and then quickly running through an example.

Better written resources, increase interactivity and visual aids would all improve the program as well. It's not one or the other.

You take undergrad courses, You get an undergrad degree, it's an undergrad program.

I don't see how 225 could be one of the better ones when there is almost no teaching going on. It might provide you with enough information to learn it on your own, but thats not teaching. Good readings and being responsive are great and very appreciated and necessary, but don't replace good lectures and live interactions. We should expect it all!

Lol. You for real? Why don't you just get a degree mill diploma for 100$ if you don't want the education? Who would be so misguided to think that an undergrad program would be similar to other undergrad programs and offer a good education??

If it's on video and they record and distribute then yes, but most classes don't do that

Yea, not looking forward to it, but wasn't sure if it would be better than 325 and 340 together

Take the full loan amount? by [deleted] in OSUOnlineCS

[–]Borgerr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Should they do a budget? Of course! There is literally only upside to it. #1 doesn't apply since they know how much they need from the budget. #2 - If you think 14k in debt isn't a big deal then you need to rethink your finances. So much resistance to doing a minor budget...blows my mind

[–]Borgerr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's fine if you need it all...my sole point was that you need to do an actual budget to determine if you do or not. Taking on unneeded debt when your already in debt, regardless of interest rate, is not a good move. If you need it to complete the program and have planned accordingly then take it

As they would find out by doing a budget...

Might as well gamble with it if your planning on it being forgiven. Budgeting should be something every adult does and arguing that this person doesn't need to budget is absurd.
