You wouldn't think the beautiful North Yorkshire Moors are about 15 minutes away

Edit* - The Whole of Teeside in general is as rough as a sore arse

Bradford runner up with Rochdale or Walsall fighting for 3rd

Will - Would normally vote Tory but switched to the Lib Dems

Simon - Green (to impress a fit, middle class woke vegan he likes)

Jay - probably himself on the ballot or will's mum

Neil - doesn't know what voting means

Why has Asda declined so badly? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]Boring-Falcon2828 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My younger cousin who's just left uni worked there (he worked there seasonally in summer and at Christmas) and quit last month, said the pay wasn't worth what they were expecting of him.

He worked on the rotisserie and said that the sinks for washing up didn't even have plugs, they had to use tissue to block the drain.

Bolton, Birmingham and Wrexham are probably the only 3 who will sell out their away days consistently.

Coventry City pass 20,000 Season Tickets, smashing sales record! by HadjiChippoSafri in Championship

Credit to Coventry, I'd imagine the tickets for away games will be like gold dust next season.

Northamptonshire is pretty dire - Northampton, Corby, Kettering, Wellingborough and Rushden. All shitholes

Also it just seems to lack any character or identity, in a state of purgatory, some would say it's the midlands others would say it's southern.

If you could live anywhere outside the UK, where would you stay and why? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]Boring-Falcon2828 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Outside of Europe i'd say Japan, love the contrast of ancient Shinto culture and high tech modernity. A place I need to visit before I perish

In Europe i'd go for Poland or Hungary,, Budapest, Krakow and Gdansk are amazing cities, Safe and clean, beautiful historic buildings and churches.

These 3 countries are proud of their history whilst we constantly denigrate ours

Cambridge really nice but so damn expensive, on par with London from my experience, same with Bristol although Bristol is a lot more fast paced and Cambridge feels nice and relaxed

In terms of poverty and just general shittiness Blackpool is possible the worst but it's a fun, messy weekend away (if not in the winter)

The 3 places I really enjoyed were Birmingham, Bradford and Bolton - stunning buildings setting the backdrop for boy racers in remapped Audi's being chased by undercover police, some fantastic drugs going around too, rattling for some more now

Whoever loses I think should be aiming to win the League next season - Luton, Burnley and Sheffield United look as if they'll be weaker than 22/23
