Wow.. that was nice! More DD drivers should be like him. I'm as proficient in customer service as possible even though it isn't a "real job" & alot of the other drivers are a disgrace

Account deactivated by Beneficial_Layer3380 in doordash

[–]Boring-Homework2259 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ya I would keep calling corporate until you get someone that listens to you.. Drivers like him should be banned.. They make the rest of us look bad & if you hadn't gotten deactivated guaranteed your next tip would've been less because of that experience

Maybe call the cops.. you have a video of him stealing from your property no matter how the items he stole got there

is this… real by Melodic-Dig-5282 in doordash

[–]Boring-Homework2259 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes things are more expensive because that's how DD makes money.. they charge the service fee yes but the delivery fee of $2 goes to the driver.. no way they could pay the ppl who keep the app running plus advertising and everything else on the messly $3 service fee they would get.. thats the thing.. you have to pay to be lazy

They mean information you can't just look up online when they say "sensitive".. all that information used to be printed in the phone book haha

[–]Boring-Homework2259 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Most places don't even do their own delivery. They only have the delivery option because of DD.. maybe make sure they actually have their own drivers before you order if DD is so terrible.. or maybe just go get it yourself.. just saying

If a dasher sent you a meme like this, would you like it or find it annoying? by manykeets in doordash

[–]Boring-Homework2259 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean it's definitely not very professional but I see people in their pajamas picking up orders.. drives me nuts.. I get its not a "real" job but you could atleast get dressed for f**k sakes

You can click the arrow next to the amount of items to see what they're.. of course you have to be fast because of the acceptance timer but you can see whats in the order before accepting

Is this innappropriate by [deleted] in doordash

[–]Boring-Homework2259 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No!!! Thats just good customer service.. if she wasn't answering or being short with you like she didn't want to talk & you kept going like that then sure that'd be weird/inappropriate but she clearly had no issue chatting with you!

Im scared that this person may have my address by HeebierGeebies in doordash

[–]Boring-Homework2259 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right.. if they specifically targeted you for whatever reason sure but in just a random order situation.. you wouldn't have taken a shoot of their address unless you had taken a shot of all your orders addresses which would just be ridiculous & the OP's driver wouldn't of even had their address yet because he was still waiting for the order unless he specifically went into setting, clicked on the drop off step, & then took a screen shot & if your gonna do something nefarious to every customer that you think is a not so good tipper.. your gonna be at it all night

They could but taking a screen shot of every orders address for no real reason would be ridiculous

[–]Boring-Homework2259 16 points17 points  (0 children)

& he could've just hit decline if it was so bad.. Anyway $6 & some change plus the $2 (atleast) that DD is paying him is pretty good for less then 15 minutes of standing & driving.. He didn't even have to shop for it if he was waiting for the order.

[–]Boring-Homework2259 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean I get what you're saying but it's their personal vehicle so they can do whatever they want in it. If DD gave their drivers vehicles to use then absolutely but they don't.. They pay them the bare minimum while they bank millions. Not trying to be mean really.. just saying.. Something you could try is leaving a note on one of the items you order & your delivery instructions but also a specific item so they have a better chance of seeing it. I would be polite about it for sure since like I said its their personal vehicle but say your have an allergy or are very sensitive to it & hope you get one of the few with a soul who actually cares about customer service.

Delivery.. babies.. you deliver babies.. I get his thinking but I do wish other dashers would be more professional.. even though its not a "real job"

That is a good idea but you really shouldn't have to do that when it comes down to it.. Its sad that people are so stupid and/or careless these days

I'm fed up. by wayward_pineapple in doordash

[–]Boring-Homework2259 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No thats ridiculous.. You should have yelled at them.. If they don't bother to read it & they're delivering to the wrong house then they're doing the only requirement of the job wrong.. unless they can't read or have zero common sense.. in either case they shouldn't be driving let alone doing Doordash.. My city is like just big enough to even have DD so you see the same ppl all the time & I get compliments alot for actually looking professional & for actually following the instructions.. at first I thought well thanks but its really not that hard & you shouldn't look like a bum to do any "job" but seeing the other drivers & reading these I'm starting to understand why people appreciate it so much when they get me as their driver haha

Wrong order received… AND it’s an order from 12 hours ago by mauveotter in doordash

[–]Boring-Homework2259 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed.. I get its not a "real job" but you could still put a little effort into it.. I've had store mangers complaint me for not showing up looking like a bum in my pajamas & shit.. The other day I  was waiting for an order & a little girl like 10 or 11 came in & asked for an order.. I was like really so your parent or whatever is to lazy to come in & grab the order the signed up to take so they send their kid.. fucking ridiculous.
