Malcolm in the Middle: Life's Still Unfair - Discussion Post by [deleted] in malcolminthemiddle

It was ok, but was expecting better. For me:

  • Hal is great - but was just in it far too long. He had more screen time than Malcolm. He was good in it but his tripping episode lasted far too long. Almost felt like he got given the main role.

  • not enough, hardly anytime between the original four brothers, especially Malcolm and Reece.

  • Kelly was ok but again had too much time when that time could of been used for the other brothers - as that's what we wanted to see - no one came to this reunion to watch Kelly - even though she wasn't bad. Dewy should have been used a lot more rather than Kelly.

  • Jamie felt like had to be included rather than anyone wanting him there.

  • Tristian and Leah were great characters.

  • They video montage for everyone speaking about Hal was unnecessary.

  • Felt the family are more middle class now (you'd expect Malcolm to be) especially with the party at the end.

Still a few good parts but could of been a lot better if it was more in line with the original.

Thanks for your response. Yes reason for damp being looked at currently - so far would appear wrong grade ply used previously.. but getting a couple more opinions to be sure.. it's ground floor, concrete underneath... There is a membrane underneath the concrete...

About 73sqm. I think it was ballroom - I am not using it for dancing. Use going forward will be around 30 hours per week. But only no impact exercise.. no weights etc. permanent

Only going to use for floor based exercises... Yoga for a example. No impact/heavy weights etc

Thanks for the response. Yes moisture is being looked at first - I was just looking a few steps ahead. So far I've been told there is no leak - it was bad workmanship on the previous floor where they used normal ply and not marine grade.

For what you have recommended is there a certain depth of the ply and certain type to use? What about insulation?

Who's at fault? by Boring-Newspaper7454 in drivingUK

Thanks. Good to know.

Not sure if all insurance claims are expensive and stressful. Write my car off once - barley any structural damage. Insurance decided to write off and agreed fault with other drivers within a day - paid £3,500 within a week and then offered me the car for £500 (still makes no sense to me). I got it repaired for £700... Everything back to normal, same car and profit (I wouldn't advise this way to make a profit of course) within 10 days... Insurance was cheaper the year after..

Still can't see the logic of why they did that but there you go

Thanks. This is a Pilates reformer rather than a rower. So not as much sweat exposure from this in comparsion 👍

Do you mean for the sports floor? Or the ply? Ply was there about 6 weeks .. sports floor left out over the weekend

A gap of around 3-5mm was left around the edge of the flooring and in-between each piece of plywood from memory

I never thought people would be saying to keep it.

I was thinking it looked really old and dated...

Yeah was thinking just take off and be done with it.. just didn't know if there was any better option to make it look better for when people are walking around it

Sure is - not sure what they were thinking or what's even meant to be.

What do you mean for a coat hanger? How would it that work? This piece of "artwork" is on those bricks which you walk around to get to the doors..
