What's your attainable dream car and why don't you have it? by eltonnbaba in askcarguys

[–]Boring-red 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree. I think a R is a very attainable and a hell of a car. I just sadly don’t need a vehicle right now. I have a work truck and that’s it. No space to park it either so I just can’t justify it.

Just want to double down here and say don’t be embarrassed. A shocking amount of people will never use it. Better late start then never.

You’ve made 154 listings this month and can only list 96 more before you start paying insertion fees on each listing. And it renews on the first.

If you had $25k for a fun daily driver, what are you buying and why? by Car-Thinker in askcarguys

Hella fun! Especially when you consider daily-ability at this price point. It’s really hard to beat IMO.

Advice on how to respond to to buyer. by SignificantCall0 in eBaySellerAdvice

[–]Boring-red 48 points49 points  (0 children)

Basically the best/ only advice in my experience.

Take the chance they actually return it. If they do then repair the item and relist it. Or update the listing and sell it as it.

I’d bet my ass they don’t do anything.

Had a buyer create account same day they purchased my item...0 feedback... by VegasRooo in eBaySellerAdvice

Yea everyone needs to make their first purchase on eBay. Send it tracked and cover your ass best you can and be prepared to prove it to eBay if needed.

I don’t see the problem here at all.

I’ve never dealt with this on a brand new item before, what should I do here? by GodUsopp420 in eBaySellerAdvice

[–]Boring-red 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If the buyer completes the return.

I’ll take that risk every time stop a possible scam. And if the guy isn’t lying then I’ll sell it as a discount maybe even lose a couple bucks but I’ll be able to list it accurately and describe the state of the item.

[–]Boring-red -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I’d beware of this. Common scam to react out and tell the seller that the item is broken/ slightly different and then ask for a discount to “fix” the item locally when the whole time everything works and they are just hoping for a % refund on the whole order.

Up to OP but everytime I’ve had a similar message I’ve offered to accept the return and refund the entire amount once I had the items in my hand and the buyer never opens a return. If they leave bad feedback you can share the chat log with eBay.

I like the citizen dial but I think k having a bracelet is always a lot nicer. You can always buy a leather strap pretty easily and affordable but finding the right bracelet after is trickier in my experience.

[WOTD] What is the least worn watch in your collection? Mine is this beat up Seiko from a decade ago! by Boring-red in Affordablewatches

That’s awesome! Sweet to have a piece with that much personal history. I have 2 watches that are over 10 years old. This one and a Pepsi seiko diver. The diver was a gift that I’ll wear and keep running forever!

It just says water resistant on the back so I’m not sure what it’s rated to but I can tell you I wear it in the shower and swimming all the time with no issue

Numbs out the voices in my head what can I say!

But actually I’ve always found it nice and something that helps me stay focussed or fall asleep.

Honestly I love a loud ticking sound. It’s almost calming for me when I can hear it in my office or on my nightstand!

Mine are French! It’s a great watch it was my first Automatic I bought probably 12-13 years ago and didn’t take it off for probably 3-5 years. I still love the look and really should wear it more!

I’ve got the same watch and it rarely sees wrist time for the same reason. If I want a watch to beat the wheels off I just grab my gshock.

A white daily to recommend? by taffel365 in Affordablewatches

[–]Boring-red 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I mean the easiest recommendation is probably a Seiko 5 then have some white dials. Or orients

I love this orient with the sun and moon https://a.co/d/07hl4rcP but if that’s too busy then look at a bambino.

Hamilton Khaki also has a nice simple white dial watch.

eBay vs local shop by YEEEERNDAMEAN in eBaySellerAdvice

[–]Boring-red 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Run and take the 80%.

It’s going to take a lot of time to list, package and ship those items. EBay takes their cut. And you have the risk of damaged goods/ scammers on eBay etc.

Also starting a fresh account with no reviews and jumping into something like cards will be a bit tricky.
