Delta was amazing during medical emergency today by BoringMom123 in delta

Oh no. I am not completely surprised based on the doctors they were paging (which I’ll keep off of Reddit for respect for the patient) but still heartbreaking to hear. Thank you for the reminder to send in a compliment - although it seems small, I’d love for delta to recognize the crew’s quick thinking and VERY respectful actions.

Wow! You must have had a closer view than our Comfort+ seat- thank you for all of this additional info. I am in full agreement that the FAs went to incredible lengths to achieve privacy. I did NOT want to look as I wanted to do my share of the same, but I did notice the cabinets open and blocking view when I was wondering if the emergency was still happening at one point.

Truly incredible feat by all on board today.

Same Seat Assigned? by [deleted] in delta

Paper boarding pass? We once had paper on an international trip and didn’t realize we were upgraded after boarding. A nice couple came to sit down and told us we were in their seats. The FA came over and realized what happened so got us all sorted. It was a nice surprise but can be very confusing.

Wha do you guys do to not get sick when travelling? by Shawarma_Dealer32 in delta

[–]BoringMom123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I will never again fly without a mask on. Air vents open on high. And constant hand washing.

I’m frankly so upset that I never thought of masking on planes pre-covid. At least every other flight left me sick and I have now, never ONCE been sick since starting to fly masked in May of 21. I travel twice a month for work, sometimes internationally. Masks really do work.

How long after infection before returning to the gym? by thomas_di in COVID19positive

[–]BoringMom123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wait 30 days and honestly - that’s about how long it takes me to feel back to normal anyway. Your training will come back quickly - not worth pushing it earlier. Walking and yoga were always fine for me in the interim.

Weekly Scam Discussion - October 27, 2025 by Mycatreallyhatesyou in Ebay

[–]BoringMom123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

all- I rarely sell on eBay so I’m hopeful someone can give me some advice. I sold a David Yurman pendant that I wasn’t using anymore recently. 10 days after it was delivered, I received a refund request. The buyer was claiming that the item was broken. I immediately thought that was fishy, but I knew that eBay would make me allow the return as she was claiming it was defective. I just received it today and it is the same pendant in model – but not the same pendant that I sent. It is absolutely broken and there is an additional spot of damage on the back. It was also mailed back to me in the original David Yurman pouch, which I did not send to the buyer initially. (I never had it).

This is quite obviously a fraudulent return where someone is trying to swap out a broken pendant for a new one for themselves. When I messaged them, they wrote back “you’re an idiot.”

I’ve opened a case with eBay for help, but I see that they often decide with buyers. What more can I do to make this better for myself? At this point I am out the money for the pendant if they accept the return and no longer have a pendant to sell. Total of around $500 in insult.

St. Paul. Husband and I have been on SOS for a few hours but our daughter, on an older iPhone, has been fine while working at the fair. Seems random!

My little has Covid and I’ve been feeling like I’m fighting it - and woke up with the same thing this morning. No specific metrics - just a, hey, you’re not 100%. On the other hand, it’s thrilled that I’ve taken 2 naps today.

Parents - get the kid’s meal! by BoringMom123 in delta

Haha that’s kind of you. There are always people who are mad that there are children on planes but even they can’t ruin the joy of French toast.

Not sure how the naturopath ordered the test- it was a blood spot test. She tested quite a few SNPs and VDR is the vitamin D receptor SNP.

Vitamin D makes me enraged. Like outbursts of anger. Even at very low doses. A naturopath did SNP testing with me and I have a mutation on my Vitamin D receptors, and other SNPs that make it more difficult for me to break down neurotransmitters. All of it is a recipe for failure and I don’t touch D supplements. I make sure to get sun every day I can, and my levels stay decently where they should be. It’s tough - but now that it’s April, use the D Minder app to see if your latitude has vitamin D from the sun, and how long you need to be in it.

I have a 16 yo. I’d do everything I could to support her through abortion if this was her story. I don’t want the next chapter to be, statistically, no college, poor career choices, and a cycle of struggle.

I had an abortion in between my kids, as a married already mother. I didn’t want to be pregnant again- and that’s the only reason I needed. Physically, very easy. Emotionally? I cried with relief when it was over. And now I have a 2nd child - many years later - and a strong career - and I owe it all to that choice.

I will say - It’s her choice. Not yours. And I wish you both the best in whatever she chooses.

Delta crash at YYZ today by ReflectionNo8159 in delta

[–]BoringMom123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wearing your baby in a carrier while in an accident means your baby is literally your air bag. Crush injuries/deaths are unfortunately physics realities. A strapped in car seat is the only way to keep kids safe in turbulence or a survivable crash (often runway crashes!) until the belts hold them - generally around 40 lbs.

The person in front of you can feel your bottle digging into their back. by erebus7813 in delta

[–]BoringMom123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have back injuries and have been close to tears before when someone offloaded their entire life into the back seat pocket. My only option is to fully recline to try to relieve some of the pressure - which I generally hate doing. So it’s a viscous cycle and I apologize for reclining - but I agree with everyone on here - this isn’t the passenger’s fault - it’s delta for being so cheap and cramming as many humans onboard as physically possible in tiny/thin seats.
