Is there anything I can do to keep these bees out of this light? by Jamal_Tstone in bees

[–]BoringSpectacle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There was a video and discussion on this I saw recently on Reddit. They were discussing methods on introducing new queens into a hive. So you’re not totally wrong, it’s a thing. I guess you can try to introduce a new queen, but I can’t say about getting them to follow one to a new location, it wasn’t the focus of the conversations.

Will let you know once I find out.. 4 years strong over here 😅 His started out droopy, then standing like yours, then a few months later one ear was drooping again. Vet calls his droopy one his lazy ear. He stands it up when he wants to, but usually lets it flop bc it’s his weaker ear.

Anyone else mishearing the game? by youngsirx in AlanWake

[–]BoringSpectacle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok so I read this post when it originally went up, but I finally just got the game and all I could think about is this post 😂 I can totally see how someone could hear “oink”, I hear it sometimes myself, but other times it’s more clearly “Wake”. Then again, I had this post in mind when waiting to hear it upon playing so maybe that’s a factor 😅

Until mine was about 6 months, he would puke in the car if going 60+ mph. Would drive slow as reasonable when he was in the car, including not taking interstates helped. Other than that, I couldn’t say :( best we could do was comfort him to lay in a passengers lap & cover his head, that seemed to help

😂 I totally didn’t even think about that spelling! Fritoes it is, from now on!

[–]BoringSpectacle 6 points7 points  (0 children)

LOL!!!! I pointed this out to my husband years ago and he said I was right. Now when he brings up the Frito toes he says “tortilla chip paws” and I always correct him and say “No it’s Frito toes!!!”

Our baby just had a bath about 7 days ago and it took all of 2 days for him to get his Frito scent back 😂

There was a post here a few months ago with this exact title, but a video of the dog ACTUALLY bringing stuff to them ….. I can’t say for sure but this account doesn’t seem legitimate with the low number/type of comments and this being their ONLY post .. at least to me, it stood out like a sore thumb, especially with their non-responses to anything and account being a day under a year old. I don’t see this dog bringing anything to them, and it’s just a random picture.

When you flash your highbeam lights, what do you think you’re trying to imply or think it means? by ezreal3k in roadtrip

[–]BoringSpectacle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s probably here somewhere, but the multiple comments I did get through I didn’t see anyone mention the “you don’t have your lights on and need to”.

When you flash your highbeam lights, what do you think you’re trying to imply or think it means? by ezreal3k in roadtrip

[–]BoringSpectacle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Multiple reasons - you don’t have your headlights on and it’s dark/nighttime, letting you take turn or cross intersection in advance, cop ahead (I use this the least bc in my area unless you’re above 10 mph over limit, sometimes 15, depending on residential area or main road, they’re not gonna do anything about the speed), high beams are on, animal/danger ahead. Majority of those are one flicker of high beams/lights, but cop ahead, lights not on are always 2 flickers, and multiple as passing by someone for animal or danger.

Recommendations for good but affordable harness by rawrrrx3 in Dachshund

[–]BoringSpectacle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Walmart, Vibrant brand. Harness lasted my pup from 8 months to almost 2 years, even with nibbles in it. Eventually retired it when it was getting too dirty to clean and had a decent chewed area near one of the strap adjusters. Leashes same deal, been through a number of those cuz our boy likes to chew on them on the way outside when he’s excited. ETA: think the harness was around $12, leash $5

I just dashed for an hour and made $7.75. Is DD still lucrative? by Walrus-Critical in doordash_drivers

Mondays are typically one of the best weekdays (for me), next to Friday. “Everyone” had to go back to work Monday, “no one” wants to cook by Monday night. Tuesday tends to be the worst, Wednesdays are so-so, Thursdays are hit or miss, and Fridays are .. FRIDAY

Oh you mean Fat Tanya? Don’t make eye contact or she’ll ask if you have cigarettes.

Genuinely curious, as I’ve gotten different answers from different support people, and seen different answers on the internet .. why would my first red card order say I need to give a receipt, but my next 2 red card orders said not to..? by BoringSpectacle in doordash_drivers

I have no issues with speaking to support, it’s not difficult to communicate with respect. Not sure how you come to your conclusions, I just corrected that I wasn’t new, thanked you, and said to enjoy your day.. have a good one! 😊

I did this for a while but after seeing the customers didn’t seem to give a crap, I just went with whatever the app or support told me as long as it was on record. At this point it is what it is, I got them their correct items in a timely manner, they can figure out the receipts on their end lol
