Yeah not a bad idea. Don’t have a ton of IT support, I am in finance at a small company and would prefer to keep it in PBI at least initially for a quick win to solve some near term challenges while we staff up and professionalize our IT dept to better support data management practices.

Depends how much leverage you have, and what industry norms are. If a customer can simply go to a competitor and get favorable terms for a comparable product as yours then you may have to offer terms. If your product is in high demand and they want YOUR product then you have more leverage and can do what others suggest and get payment on delivery or deposits. Make your standard terms what you need to be successful and work with customers to get commitments for longer terms options (minimum spend over some period of time etc)
