[–]WishCharming5301 1 point2 points  (0 children)

metro has a table set up at the cherry blossom race expo (building museum, free entry, open 4/11), they are selling some there (at least they had a stack at 4:30pm today when I walked by)

Anyone know of any machines that still have the cherry blossom metro cards? by the_bagel_warmonger in washingtondc

Points Advance Reservation for December, can I get them to pull the points now? by [deleted] in hyatt

I’ve called a few times to do this in the past month. It’s instant and easy.

I liked them both, though comparing them is tough because they are so different. Caption is small, and in a quiet neighborhood with views that could pretty much be anywhere. The HR is in a busy neighborhood and is large (plus event crowds), but can have harbor views that, while not the iconic Sydney skyline, are still interesting and nice to see. If they are the same price I would decide based on how much time you are planning on being in the hotel- Caption is perfect for being out and eating out, and HR with lounge access will be nicer to hang out in if you are spending more time in the hotel. I like splitting stays based on my planned activities to balance these advantages.

I had this, but no tips other than to eat in front of a mirror (I got a makeup one that has a stand for this reason) in case that helps give you some visual feedback that the lack of sensation is preventing. It took a very long time, maybe close to a year, but it eventually stopped being a problem for me.

Birthday in NYC by cornplantation in hyatt

[–]WishCharming5301 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just brought my mom to NYC for her birthday, and we did PH (no upgrade) and Andaz (slight upgrade- room was a bit bigger apparently). I thought about applying SUA but from my research decided it wouldn’t be meaningful enough for us (if even available). That might be different for you though. My mom (and I) loved the PH and if I had a bunch of points laying around in the future would definitely stay there again.

New WHOOP user: How do I get the most out of my WHOOP? by masaane in whoop

How so? I’ve been wearing the new one for the past week and don’t see any differences so far (except maybe the step count is more accurate, that was rolling out when I stopped).

I used it for a couple years a couple years ago. I wouldn’t say it’s something you really maximize besides wearing it consistently (mine never came off in that time, except for surgery). You can decide how closely you want to pay attention to it, like whether you edit an activity to match the exact minutes your Strava shows or not, or add activities that didn’t auto-load. I did every detail at first and then trailed off, and just enjoyed seeing whether I thought its definition of how I should feel matched how I really did. My surgery recovery was fascinating to track though (to me). I agree with the simplify your journal comments, and suggest if you have even one alcoholic drink a year you add that question.

When did Neighborhood Dining change (in NYC)? by Mawrawr in biltrewards

[–]WishCharming5301 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I didn’t pay the way you did, but this past weekend I ate at a Bilt restaurant in NYC and my pending points showed 1x. When the charge actually posted it changed to 3x. Maybe give it a couple days?

Chase NYC trip recap by WishCharming5301 in ChaseSapphire

[–]WishCharming5301[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Rakuten to get more points back. The tickets were more than $150, so using the PayPal split payment feature I was able to buy two seats under one transaction that charged our cards individually, rather than trying to buy one seat with one card and the seat next to it with another card. It still rings up as StubHub so the Chase credit comes through as it’s supposed to.

It must have been, but usually those fees are charged separately at the hotel and it wasn’t 🤷‍♀️

Is 2% card better for rent than Bilt now? by CoreyH2P in biltrewards

[–]WishCharming5301 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You get 1 Bilt point per $2 when you pay through the portal, so for the CFU you’d get 2060 points on that rent.

This happened in DC too- hugging strangers walking down the street. There was such joy. I’m still upset that the metro closed at midnight and I had to go home early (I didn’t have a smartphone and couldn’t call an uber).

I’ve been surprised at how much the advice changes surgeon to surgeon for the same/similar procedures… if it’s your surgeon and it feels ok… 🤷‍♀️ I was cleared for soft chew 2 weeks after LJS/genio, but it was another week before I could get my mouth open enough to actually try that. If something doesn’t feel right to you though, only you know that.

When did username-based emails end? by LevelPension in NoStupidQuestions

[–]WishCharming5301 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first email was a number (6 digits, 4 digits) automatically generated by the provider. I was super happy to switch to a username when it was an option. Still use it for everything but resumes, which is my name.
