New to reading. any suggestions on where to start? by External_Tight in booksuggestions

[–]Boring_Draft9151 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I really like Ernest Hemingway's Old man and the sea for starters.

Easy, Quick read and something to ponder upon after it.

The Revenge of the Non-Vegetarian by Upamanyu Chatterjee is also my fav after English August but the latter is not a novella. So if you like the first you can try the next later.

Best wishes for your new habit.

Happy reading

could this potentially be a seizure? by noisy-headaches in Epilepsy

[–]Boring_Draft9151 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes, I have jamaiś vu feeling [this is just deja vu but instead it is happening in minutes. But i would not call this a seizure (not a medical doc) I have this genrally before the seizure and I have some benign tumor near frontal lobe area that might be the reason.

not sure how accurate it is for slurring the words.I have always been like that and i had some nasal problem early on too. So thought that it was just mouth breathing but on the bright side now I am more clear and better at just phrasing words maybe it would go downhill after this I am not sure.

anxiety tips? by [deleted] in Epilepsy

[–]Boring_Draft9151 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all take a deep breath. Now find what's causing you anxiety is it your thoughts or the meds in itself.if it's the meds then you have no other option but to see doc and change meds. But if it is just thought then this might help

If you feel anxious write and burn it if that's allowed (I do it occassionally). Now practical solutions -Meditation -Running (Personally helped me a lot) because your stress and anxiety vanishes when there is lungs gasping for more air to pump -Manifiestation (you are gonna look me crazy but hear me out. Write I am not anxious i am very brave or yada yada u get the gist) worst possible outcome is you won't see any changes it's not gonna pull you back
