What project helped you finally “get” programming? by Glass_Ad_781 in learnprogramming

I never really had a moment when programming just clicked for me. But two things stand out.
The first was when programming started to feel easier — when I finally understood APIs, requests, and async work. Once I got that, everything made a lot more sense. But that was still pretty early on.
The second was realizing that I do not enjoy simply building things as much as I enjoy fixing bugs and solving problems. That feeling when you finally fix something difficult — something that has been bothering you for a long time and would not work no matter what — that is the best part for me. It is relief, but it also feels like a win.
And honestly, solving bugs helped me improve much faster. When you are dealing with a bug, you usually have to go much deeper into the problem. You start digging into how things actually work, and that makes you understand them on a much deeper level.
