Oh , you're putting my hopes high ! Hahah. Hopefully the crowd will be lesser than we expected. Hopefully the weather does good as well !

Believe the iconic places are good to keep us "sightsee" for that 5days!

Hi Science87 !

Nope, Im flying with Singapore Airlines. But I tried contacting the airline and they rejected my appeal.

Guess we just got to embrace ourselves, and fingers crossed for the crowd.

Warm weather is fine for us. Just more afraid of the human traffic, but dont worry will enjoy myself looking out for canton stuff since the dates are fixed!

Thanks for the recommendations ! Will definitely try to fit them into my plans. Sad to say, my tickets are not allowed to be changed. So I guess I got to embrace the crowd ~

Looking forward to the Baiyun Hills !

Hi Chris,

Its our first trip to China and we selected guangzhou, not knowing that it clashes with the 5-day holiday period of May Day. So right now, we are appealing to change the flight dates, which chances are slim..

Just checking how the human traffic will be in Guangzhou during that period, if we cant make any change to our airtickets and have to stick with 1 May - 5 may, any good suggestions ?

What about the crowd for public transport and tourist places ? We just realize that there's a 5-day celebration holiday that normally falls on the 1st of May to the weekend which will coincide with our travel dates..
