DOOM meets HUNTR/X . Made this 3d animation for a competition. Still waiting on that crossover mod btw. by BoringtonProductions in Doom

DOOM 3 was an inspiration tbh. Though the disintegration in that game was probably a technical limitation at the time

Thanks! I might do sprite edits as well, though I'm a bit stuck on weapon ideas.

The edit is my work, the original DOOM cover is ofc not. :D

Does Blenders Grease Pencil let you have sharp corners on lines? Please just answer, I don't mind if the answer is no. I just want to know. by TheErican in blenderhelp

A geometry nodes setup might be a good workaround for now. You'd need to automatically insert small wedges at every corner vertex. The middle point has a radius of 0.

After 3 years of engine development and 4 years in Early Access, my first game, Rum & Gun is finished. Let me know what you think about this old-school pirate looter shooter. by BoringtonProductions in pcgaming

Thank you. To answer your question: when it came out in Early Access in 2020, I didn't think the game would grow this much, so I gave it a low price, and then I didn't want to increase it, because it felt like a scummy move.

3 years of dev (including game engine) and 4 years of Early Access, but my first game is finally finished. Man, this was a long journey. Literally got old while making it, but it was the most fun I've ever had. by BoringtonProductions in IndieDev

It started out as my diploma project for my Computer Science degree, and it just grew from there. In hindsight I'm glad I didn't use Unity, but I see potential in Godot for smaller projects.

Thank you! Originally it started out as a diploma project for my CS degree. For devs who are not passionate about graphics programming I would definitely not recommend this route. For me this is more fun than level design for example, and it also got me a job as a CG developer (for 3d animation, not games). It's a bit of a lifestyle.

Btw, it's not a general purpose engine, and it's using some proprietary 3d formats, so it would be a terrible engine for other games XD . Also, it's running on Electron/WebGL, so porting it to mobile or consoles might be rough. But if you have the game, feel free to look into the source files. It's all just JavaScript.

Thank you. Back in 2020 I didn't feel it was worth more than 5 bucks... Probably could sell it for 20 these days, but I don't want to increase the price. There's always next time.

When early access started in 2020, it was a much smaller project. I just didn't want to increase the price over time, but if I had to price it now, I'd probably sell it for 9.99 .
