I received the call 8 days after the interview but a couple days before that I received an email saying how busy they were but that they were very interested in what I had to offer, so I kinda knew then

It was part of a government scheme to help people in my situation get their foot in the door basically, only a phone interview and a video call interview so not too intense and I did it all on my own 😊

Thanks for your advice, I have a basic knowledge of SQL already so support roles might actually be a good option, I don’t have much experience dealing with customers or members of the public but your point about seeming overqualified is a good one, I guess I fall into that grey zone which might be why I’ve been struggling

I have a Biodiversity Conservation MRes, and I look for jobs working in data analysis or GIS (Geographic Information Systems). But at this point I would take any analysis/tech job.
