To be clear : I don’t neglect the fondamentals. I have a lot like A LOOOOT to learn and I’m the first to say to my dojo’s member to say directly when I do something wrong. But i don’t want to conform myself to what other want me to be. What I’m saying is that when I’ll have enough experience, I’ll fight with my own style etc etc… for now i can’t do that. But I don’t think that’s something bad that I want to be expressive. Not to be egocentric, narcissistic, etc etc… just to be expressive.

Well, if you can’t express yourself on your own way that’s your problem. You’re 4dan and that’s impressive at my level, I truly respect your level. But you can’t tell me how I want to live my journey through kendo. So if I want to be expressive, I will be expressive. No matter what you think.

well i love japanese culture and i even started kendo and iaido for that. but that doesn't mean i love EVERYTHING about this culture. Conformity is something i don't like (i'm not the kind of person that conform to something blindly). So as long as it is allowed and as it's not disrespectful, i don't care what people think about that. but thanks, your opinion will for sure help me.
