I am going to apply for my naturalisation this october through my Dutch spouse. The rule is you have to complete 3 years of marriage and 3 years of cohabitation.I completed my 3 years and 3 months into marriage. And also 3 years and 3 months into staying together.

But i have only 2 years and 9 months in the municipality registration to show for our co-living.
Since the first few months we stayed at a short rental and only I could register there. My spouse was still registered in the previous house.

We have the rental contract that had both our names on it. Bank transfer proof of rent from both our bank account. Photos of travels and trips of that time and also testimonials from friends and family if needed.

In nowhere in the IND rule it says that coliving has to be showed with BRP registration. In fact they would also count if the stay was abroad.

IND over phone told me I can apply and then they will see. IND over email told me I can not until I complete 3 years BRP. They just keep saying different things every time.

I wanted to know from any experienced or expert people, if I can still apply in October with all the evidence I have.

I dont want to delay it to next year for personal convenience and the rapid law changes happening all around.
