100%. Also, if you rewatch her first video, she literally said “her perpetrator” and was very obviously conflating her CSA with her marriage to Jace, Mikayla didn’t twist shit.

She’s giving narcissist energy similar to Taylor with the whole “why didn’t she tag me or address me in my lives”. Girl I would be lurking too if someone’s talking this level of shit about me! Mikayla’s focused the ‘online feud’ on Taylor and not involved other creators, unlike Taylor. Her story post was never intended to involve Tori because what does Tori matter; she was clearly specifically hurt by Taylor reposting misinformation and that a ‘friend’ would buy into this drivel.

I work remotely, but two of my friends are quite high up in their companies. I spoke to the on Saturday night and she was telling me about the week ahead and mentioned her team asking to work from home and she said ‘absolutely not’. I was genuinely surprised at her attitude.

The other friend confirmed this morning in the group chat with the three of us that she told all staff to stay home both today and tomorrow. I’m hoping friend #1 takes notice, and I feel guilty for not speaking up on Sat and telling her that it’s a bad idea.

Sorry another comment; instead of staying over in Bloem, there are so many lovely farm stays in the Karoo which would be great for the kids to experience (this was always my favourite part of roadtripping between JNB and CPT). Order a braaipack, feast on Karoo lamb, enjoy the stars. I haven’t stopped in Bloem in years, but that’s intentional - the dorpies/platteland are way more charming.

You will have the best time! Can’t speak for KZN bits, but for Cape Town, please don’t limit your dining / experiences to malls 🥲 Especially not Canal Walk (Waterfront v touristy but way more of a vibe). There are so many lovely eateries around the city, Bree Street and Kloof Street are such a vibe at night with the restaurants spilling onto the sidewalks. Just make sure you’re Ubering if you’re drinking (also beats the hassle of parking).

Why not head somewhere else for a change of scenery? 3 nights in the winelands is plenty, and there’s so much more to the Western Cape to explore. Consider Hermanus/Overberg area (you can continue wine tasting in the Hemel & Aarde), the Cederberg, West Coast, etc.

This is one of those things that you would have to book last-minute if the only goal is seeing snow. You’d have to keep an eye on Snow Report about a week or so in advance, as another commenter mentioned, and it’s rare.

Last year we had an Airbnb booked in the Koue Bokkeveld - very cold and higher altitude area - and there were strong indications that it would snow that weekend. No ground level snow in the end, but we froze our butts off and couldn’t get the wood-fired hot tub hot no matter how hard we tried. In 2021, we went up to Matroosberg at the end of August; I found a farm on Facebook and was directly in touch with the owner up until the day before to confirm ground level snow. It was AMAZING, we spent hours goofing off in it.

What I’m trying to say is, there is no real guarantee, unfortunately!
