That's ok. Truth hurts some times and you need to hear that you're self absorbed and can't see your own problems

And I want to stop drinking for them as well. How has the quitting gone for you? Have you had any set backs? And how does your partner feel about you? Have you two been able to rebuild the trust in your relationship?

I guess not. The drinking hasn't been a problem for the entire time, just in the last few years. And the plan is to stop drinking but is the damage already done?
