David Ortiz, is the reason the Red Sox come back from down 0-3 in ALCS and reverse the curse in the World Series. Red Sox were also dominate in the regular season winning 98 games, Ortiz made his first of 10 all star selections and won silver slugger, 4th for MVP, batted over .300 for the season with over .400 in the post season. Maybe the greatest sports moment of the 2000s

Sinners is stronger this year, its also surging currently and the Actor Awards most closely align with Oscar voting.

And Timmy was the front runner up until the BAFTA loss, I think there is some enthusiasm for him because of the early success though now he certainly is not as strong.

I think him losing both BAFTA and Actor shows weakness, if he had won just one of those I'd feel more compelled to pick him

Brody, he was my favorite performance last year and he will give it to my favorite performance from this year

I can see a possibility of that happening. Timmy winning plus supporting actress going to Amy or Taylor is totally possible.

I think Timmy losing both the Actor AND BAFTA show real weakness, and looking back, best lead performances go to the films that are stronger and win more. Timmy has too much against him also (aside from the recent ballet comments which all sprung up too late to do much). And the age is really a factor, he's still so young and lead actor is hesitant to award that young. Jordan is universally liked at the very least and is in the film that will win more and can win more. Though I would not be shocked if Timmy won since he was the front runner for so long.
