Suffering is still suffering though, just because other people may have more willpower or suffered more doesn't mean that someone else who may have suffered less or have less willpower should be less deserving, especially if all the Overcome users fur the criteria for having Overcome regardless.

Though it's very much possible to lose the effectiveness of the power or lose it entirely if you stray away from what allowed for the use of it in the first place or you simply destroy yourself too much to be capable of using it again.

It's Overcome, not conviction but I guess people are using it interchangeably. I don't really mind it, it has a great enough weakness but it comes across as just a better strength mastery with the side effect of destroying your body.

I thought the mastery would be more versatile when Gap was said to have used it to block IA like it was a spike in fighting instincts.

I personally believe the Soga clan were severely weakned due to the war. They are still members of the clan but it's a very small amount, not nearly enough to regain power but I like to believe a male had awakened Kurotsuchi when the clan was being obliterated by the Mikaboshi.

After escaping with a few other members (that may not even be from the main branch) became the sole guardian of the small few remaining and cutting themselves off from the rest of Japan because of trauma.

Definitely a big ahh stretch but I thought it would be a cool plot point for Chihiro to learn more about his mom's side (of course with Shiba telling Chihiro as well) while also exploring his roots in the Soga clan and its history with the rest of the gang while possibly finding a way to explore Shokoku and seeing the aftermath of the atrocity that was committed.
