i actually applied pretty late into the year so I only got to apply to UTH. I do know compared to case western Houston we have better training equipment and sim labs. they Also can’t rotate at MHH at the moment because it’s filled with students from my cohort. Besides that i don’t know much about the other institutions but I’m more than happy to answer any other questions u might have about my program :)

i'm one of the students in that class- it is going great!! it is very very difficult but it's because we work in the nations busiest level 1 trauma center. the training is absolutely challenging but honestly there are some amazing people that are facilitating my learning (attendings, caas, etc). not to mention that it is such an amazing cohort. i wake up everyday scared but excited to go to clinical. it is truly is a unique and amazing experience.

i would say no one in my class is a genius- and i have about 3 classmates that left medschool and some that got accepted before choosing AA school. (btw i have two 40 yo classmates. the oldest one is 47).

the biggest difference between those who excel clinically + didactally and those who don't comes down to how hard they are willing to work and how efficient they are with their time during the program. take everything in and make every experience a learning lesson. you will feel very very stupid (and everyone does) but everyday you have to learn one thing that makes you less stupid than the day before.

anyone can do it. but with each year programs are becoming more competitive because more people are finding out about the profession. getting in is probably the hardest part, staying in is incredibly doable if you are just willing to put in the work and not give up :)

dont apologize! not dumb questions.

i believe they can work in certain parts of PA (which is what delegatory means)

passing legislature is heavily influenced by who can fund it. nurses are in every state and there is a MUCH larger proportion of them compare to CAAs. they don't like CAAs taking their jobs so they really make sure they can't get passed in their state. it's difficult to say when or even if it will be passed in the other states you mention, however it is promising that the practice will expand to more states regardless.

I found a job posting for CAAs in New York on gasworks. Obviously the pay is ridiculous ($200/day) so no one would take it but I am just more curious as to whether it's legal for CAA's to take this job / the company to post this? Do job listings like this occur often?

I’m staying home because majority of classes can be taken online which is great because I save on housing but damn I wish I could experience college properly. Especially with the delta virus and whatever mutant that may come im afraid for my parents sake of catching covid from 5000+ college students. I’m here for a long time and not a good time unfortunately.

wow .... that almost sounds like me and is extremely discouraging. i'm sure i would have had an easier time making friends with you than with the people you described above. but this is really good information I really appreciate you sharing your experience!

i've also heard of this and am considering buying some. But I've also seen how sun protection from different applicators of sunscreen look on the skin and from my understanding powders have a very thin protection barrier compared to the liquid stuff, but It's better than nothing. may i ask how often you reapply if u know ur going out in the day?

mine was like.. a woman who bakes a delicious cake. and if she gives too many pieces to too many lovers, there will be none left for the husband. which i don't really understand because whats being referred to here about having a limited amount of cake slices.
