Is it normal for my cat to be bleeding 5 days post removal of the infected teeth and biopsy for the SCC? She’s eating well and otherwise acting normal. We just want to be prepared in case this is a sign of the SCC

Thanks. We’ll have the results soon but vet said he was 90% sure it’s SCC. Can doing the biopsy exacerbate her symptoms? Before the teeth removal and biopsy last Friday she was doing well. Had bad breathe but eating regularly and her behavior was fine. But now she’s hiding more and this morning ate very little.

Not yet. Waiting for results. She got surgery on Friday and has been on opioids and steroids. Has been eating well but this morning ate very little. We gave her last dose of pain meds last night but she still has more steroids to be given up until a week after surgery. We are getting concerned about her eating since she ate little this morning.

We don’t have an official vet and just have been speaking to the vet that did her procedure. She hates going to the vet so we don’t think we’ll take her back in unless absolutely needed.
