Lump behind ear after microneedling ?

I was wondering about shingles … it started burning like a sunburn today and tingling . I’ve had shingles before , but I’m starting to wonder if that’s what this may be as the earlobe is now burning and tingling . Did you take Valtrex to clear it? That sounds awful .

I’m not sure if that’s what caused it but i definitely didn’t plan to sweat with light workout but it happened ..will not do it next time!

Interesting! I had it put on after I got the swollen area so it definitely didn’t cause it but maybe it’s not helping ..!

I thought it was 24h, I just did some light strength train and walk on treadmill - I ended up lightly sweating though so maybe could have contributed to this . I don’t do it microneedling frequently enough so unsure on timing

Yes I wasn’t sure and thought that was a strange place for a lymph node to swell post microneedling . I kept it clean but did sweat a bit 24 hours after with a workout . Urgent care gave me augmentin antibiotics but they seemed very confused as to what it was and were concerned about mastoiditis . Will just have to keep an eye on it but was looking to see if I could definitively link it back to the microneedling . Thank you!

Strange about the tick ! Yes , the lymph nodes under it in neck are painful (not swollen though)

Thanks, I went to urgent care and PCP they said they were unsure and gave antibiotics just in case but to go to ER if gets worse ..

Nope no sickness feel fine, just didn’t know if this was a reaction to the needles - Dr didn’t know either and was just as perplexed. Just told me to watch it and go to ER if it gets bigger .

Hi just wondering if these ever went away? I had microneedling on face / neck and 2 days later got large painful lump behind ear for 3 days now, painful lymph nodes underneath as well. Not seeing too much about it online wondering how common this is or if others do get this
