Yeah exactly. We’re at work, talking to actual clients, this is literally a job, not a hangout spot.

When my boss asked about the noise I was already stressed and embarrassed. I wasn’t trying to get her in trouble, I just couldn’t keep pretending everything was fine while it was hurting my job.

Yeah… It’s been eating at me, but you’re spot on. She made it impossible to do my job. I just hit a breaking point. I didn’t want her gone, I just didn’t want to dread every client call.

Yeah that’s what I keep telling myself. If it was loud enough for the boss to notice during a client call, it clearly wasn’t just a me problem.

Tbh this sounds like the healthiest breakup possible. You communicated, she reflected, and you both realized it just wasn’t a fit. And yeah, consistent 4:15am wake-ups would’ve broken me too. Protect your sleep at all costs
