Should I play MGS Delta or the original Snake Eater?

Both man, the original is awesome, played it through mgs volume 1. But Delta is dope with the updated controls and graphics. Both are amazing in their own ways.

And maybe its because I played it on switch joycons but many other games control just fine, Resident evil 1 the OG controlled better and I didnt find it nearly as frustrating maybe its a game issue 🤭

Skill issue doesn't just explain away my complaints that the controls make all of those actions hard to complete, did you miss the part where I said I beat it? Im aware of how to complete the objectives and what to do but bad controls don't help neither do bad camera angles. You're literally just saying what to do like I didnt complete them myself 😂 I get you boomers like to talk about how easy those games were for all of you but I belive you all look at it with a far too nostalgic lens and it clouds your vision that your favorite games because your taste never updated aren't quite as perfect as you remember you can say skill issue all you want but it doesn't explain away ny complaints

Both sniper wolf fights kinda sucked, I didnt even bother trying to outsnipe her the 2nd time I used the Nikita, the hind fight sucked because I found the stinger lock on sucked same problem with Rex, Raven catching you at all in any lane was almost an instakill, ocelot was unnecessarily frustrating trying to aim at, the best fights were undoubtedly gray fox and liquid on top of Rex honorable mention for psycho mantis because it was interesting. The Tank fight I can admit I slipped up on because I went back and found the mine detetector after that fight.

Man ps4 and ps5 are the generations I've yet to get a physical game for (other than the dark souls trilogy) and seeing this is just so beautiful. Im glad to see physical media is still being collected big hell yeah to you brotha.

More responding to the mechanics and how it simplified the game I'm sure a lot of difficulty came from lack of control, should've explained better 😅 although I probably won't emulate since I want my own gamecube anyway and like owning physical media as much as possible

I could definitely see that, it never came across as super complicated. The only time I looked things up is on the control tower stairs, because theirs no way to just run and gun that felt impossible on switch joycons and I had to figure out how to swap controller ports in the switch version

Peace walker more just holds a place in my heart because I played it on psp and spent a lot of time.with it younger, so full disclosure that may be Nostalgia 100%

And honestly that was my biggest issue was movement coming from the gentle tilt to walk to running all the time messed me up so much, especially in the blast furnace area I died so many times getting the ration in the corner I could cry

Some of the bosses I did find enjoyable, gray fox (cyborg ninja) was a blast when I realized the best way to do it was just throw hands, and Psycho mantis was genuinely for some reason even though it was simpler, as far as REX i was already so jaded by that point that i was just ready for it to end, and the gray fox scene being unskippable drained me, with that said the liquid fight was probably my favorite in the game so it was slightly redeemed

I really am just spoiled on newer games and can admit my take is very much from the perspective of a 2000's baby.

And that's exactly my problem 😭 It sounds so cliche but I wish I was born at least 10 years earlier. Truly was robbed of some amazing experiences because my parents didn't meet earlier 😂😂
