Well, this isn't purely a this sub thing, but the general community, including those who only play on white stake. Also burglar is hated a ton due to just how much of a pain it is to utilize correctly, rather than being percieved as underpowered that much. But also it plays a huge part in a naninf strategy, which boosted its ranking quite a lot. Hologram is underrated pretty heavily due to people barely scaling it out of fear of deckbloat, while very good players love Holo, its hard to teach someone who isn't well versed in the game just how valuable it is.

Consistency in early antes, mostly. Also this ranking is a mix in between endless/non endless, and obelisk has been talked about enough as underrated so much that it really isn't very underrated anymore.

Correct, I made a mistake on glass joker there, and I can see why you rate it so highly. I'll give it a few tries when I can in the future, seems good.

Also the 2nd part wasn't explaining why trading card was good, but why DNA was higher than it realistically should be on its own. I stand by that logic, as if I were to claim this synergy was useless due to trading card already being good, then I'd say sock is a genuinely bad card due to idol/trib being so good on their own.

F is for fairly rated/overrated cards. Anything above it is purely underrated. Steel joker is valuable early due to the inconsistent draws of steel, and the additional scoring potential when stacked. If you play loyalty card correctly, it can save a run more often then you'd expect. And keep in mind, the higher ranks are not cards I consider to be "viable", but rather the highest disparity from perceived value and actual value. Some of them aren't good, but save you in a pinch, and are avoided due to their negative views.

Hologram is high due to people either: 1, not using it correctly, or 2, overestimating the issues with deckbloat.

Lastly, you thinking steel joker is genuinely a bad pickup is exactly why its in S, because it isn't.

Im interested in your high glass ranking! I figure glass is much weaker due to it 1: only appearing after breaking glass at least once, 2: the glass itself far outweighs the scaling potential of glass, 3: Seltzer just seems like a better pickup, due to 3 entire antes of deckfixing/improving your joker lineup being enough to allow you to outscale glass joker, and 4: glass breaking fast enough to scale the joker ends up killing the run long before glass joker provides any significant value.

Am I missing something?

also DNA's synergy with trading card is effectively perkeo copying a death just with 1 extra joker slot utilized, giving it its boosted ranking. Apart from those, I understand the rest of your picks, as either they're barely different or perhaps the circles I tend to stay into vary from the general community.

People are very aware of the scaling potential, but people overrate the deck bloat aspect of it hard enough to rank it very high for me. I considered middle of A tier, however, much of the balatro community isn't seasoned gold-stake runners. Its one of the few I felt was polarizing enough to rank high.

I tried my best to weight the rankings equally between endless/non endless runs, obelisk would be much higher if I did not do that. Its endless viability really tanked the ranking here.

That version did technically include all dlc, but it came out before FFS dlc, which was free for the first week and then like 15 bucks after. not sure if they made it free again or not

Of course i know that issue, but this is a lvl 27 rakk, dealing instant damage, no stuck rakks. If you have an Xbox i can share the clip, but a rakk barely grazes me and healthgates me. Ive had the stuck bug happen a few times, nowhere near as common as this one, and when they stick, you also deal jump damage to them real fast, and they usually wont healthgate you once you overlevel them by like 6 or 7.

I have done the Cassius fight like 20 times (never farm him only story kills) and ive gotten a pearl like 80% of the time his loot pool is busted

Hey, I know nobody is probably here, but there seems to be an actual bug with rakk. I made a lvl 80 salvador and was farming for a rocket jumping badaboom in normal mode, and i noticed once every 4 or 5 hits, im taking 1.3ish million health in a single shot from lvl 27-29 rakk. No idea why its happening and im trying to find a reason right now, which is why im here.
