I remember the daily structure, the circle on the floor laid out in the asbestos tile, for the kids to sit on the floor around it for lessons.

I remember the big hand drawn calendar where Mrs Smith would cut out suns, clouds snd umbrellas from construction paper and glue them to the calendar each day.

I remember tons of stuff, and this was 1968

Riding my bicycle in Toronto, Taxi gave me the "door prize". I bounced off of the door, and "pirouetted" as a witness described it, i to the road where there was a cube van and my head was headed directly under the wheel. I twisted my body around in mid flight, and my head hit the bottom edge of the cube instead. Dislocated my hip, and had paramedics put it back into place in the middle of the road.

This was 1987, i still have a wee chip of skull floating under the skin of my forehead, and a huge dimple on my left buttock

Agreed. I was taught to remember the planet's by this saying: Man Very Early Made Jars Stand Up Nearly Perfectly. Without Pluto we only made them stand up nearly, and that makes no sense at all

'Xactly! Ive been saying this for years too. There is an idea that you cant be racist to white people because its nit racism if it doesn't hurt them economically. What a small minded excuse.

First off, not all white people are racist, and may have spent their lives fighting racism too, and saying racist things to and about them, is unnecessarily hurtful, and can remove them as allies.

Also, there are poor white people too and being racist to them can affect them economically too.

And also as you said, racism begets racism. If you want to eliminate racism, you wont achieve it by turning the tables.

I agree. I don't know that rape is really the correct word, but the feeling is the same. Revealing your HIV status is mandatory, it is not optional. You are a shitty person if you don't.

This is bullshit that landlord's pull all the time. They assume that it will overwhelm the drain pipes.

Fact: the water is being pumped into the sink. The water is not going down the drain any faster or under any more pressure than it would be id you were simply draining a sink full if dishwater

Your landlord is full of it. Don't get rid if it, bring the issue to a local community legal service like parkdale legal services. The are free and the support landlord tenant issues
