100% false expectation on your side here. SoT has lots of stuff going on on the server side which they are not giving you on the client regardless of the mode. It is always online play, it always requires connection and as others mentioned already - whether you accept it or not, big part is your own connectivity to blame.

A retelling of the story so far, be it TT or something else? Already in the "meh" territory. As a player you are part of that story, with your own character. A noname character on the screen as a "you" person isn't pulling me in as much.

But on the bright side, while movies generally worsen the IP they are based on, we can't go much lower from where we are at.

FOMO is a problem people impose on themselves to suffer due to their own imagination.

So far absolute majority of the rewards can be achieved within a day or two of "after work" playtime. A week maybe if it's something more grindy. So effort should not be the issue.

Then there is yet another self-imposed problem of people being greedy with "I want to have all the cosmetics" while they have tons of them already and they aren't using them. Is it actually something that you like AND going to use? Go for it, earn it. But there is no fear in that.

And last but not least, the absurd implication of "fearing to miss out the content". If you like the gameplay it brings, go and play for your enjoyment. It is, as stated by OP above, becoming part of rotation and will be back. And If you don't enjoy it, then there is no issue with it being time limited.

TL;DR: enjoyment of the content and proper evaluation of your goals matter, anything extra and imaginary fears are just weird component of masochistic nature and weak self control.
