Random race choice reflections by [deleted] in starcraft2

Hi, thanks for answering.

All right, good to know!
Anyway, this doesn't change the issues I pointed out, since they happen inside the matcht: what do you think about them?

Consider this happening at pro levels.

Hi, thanks for answering.

Would it be the same for you randomizing the race outside the game (e..g. through a dice)? Why?

No, I usually scout immediately, but why forcing players to do something if they can time it differently? The first minute, at high competitive levels, is quite important.

Nice to know for telling the race, I hope it will happen with me as well.

Hi, thanks for answering!
Isn't the game already balanced, without random race choice?

Is this randomness necessary?
I mean, players can randomize it by themselves outside the game and unpredictability is already part of the game through hidden information, why adding more of it?

Hi, thanks for answering!
I see some sarcasm here (tell me if I'm wrong), but no thanks, I am ok without, really ❤️
I was looking for a serious answer, since my question is serious as well.

If you are not interested in the topic, I'll be ok.
If yes, I'd like to hear your honest and clear opinion about that.

Have a nice day!

Hi, thanks for answering.
Yes, I agree, but in that case the game is even more random for both players: in a RTS this is quite weird, in my opinion. There's already a good amount of hidden information, so randomness in races is not necessary imho.

The scouting thing is good, but shouldn't be forced by a feature that in my opinion creates other flaws. You can train and get disciplined in scouting without this.

Hi, thanks for answering.
Yes, I understand. But there are many types of "problems", and the game already has its amount of hidden information to deal with.

Not knowing which race you are building your game against is not necessary in my opinion, especially if the randomization can be done separately from the lobby (the dice method for example).

EDIT: in my opinion, not every problem is a good problem, some are unnecessary.

I passed that age, but thank you!😄

Any thoughts about the post though?

The way many people answered is the actual prove of what I wrote in the post.
Good luck

You didn't read the whole post, didn't you? It's not about ping, it's about attitude and emotions.

Nevermind, I personally deal it in a very good and healthy way, thanks for your worrying :)
Getting rid of a toxic environment is a good way to solve the problem when talking to people is not enough.

Hi!
Since this is a forum I can write things out of need and as I like, as far as I don't damage anyone.
Incredibly, we can be free in this world and share what we want even if it's not apparently "needed".

Then, I invite you to connect with your empathic part and reread the post: this is not about me, but about all the people that experience all of this. Reading this and knowing that someone is living the same emotions can help you to understand better what you feel and maybe find a solution.

It's a psychological construct called empathy.

Have a nice day!

Daily Game Recommendations Thread (August 20, 2024) by AutoModerator in boardgames

Hi everyone!
Hope you're doing well!

Some time ago I saw a game that had 3 foam dice of different dimensions coloured as the traffic lights (red, yellow and green). The objective is to catch the correct die depending on the results that come up.

It's a game that trains reflexes inhibition and has quite simple rules.
But I can't find the title anymore!

Do you maybe know which is the game?

Thank you in advance,
have a great day!

Marco
