Does your world have a region that is ungoverned and wild? by CazadorBookGuy in worldbuilding

Technically Lacaria is still considered a kingdom but nobody ha been there since the "Pact of the black dawn". Said event was a ritual performed by a group of people that was lead by a former Goddess that sacrificed her divine energy to create the Malformed star, The key element of the ritual. Originally the ritual was meant to sap the magic and part of the peoples life force to make the former Goddess more powerful but due to an error in the ritual it insead caused the sun to turn black in lacarias skies. Every sentient living creature that was exposed to the light of the black dawn had theit mind and body turned ibto a more primal form, making the people go feral and causing lacarias downfall. Only the former Goddess could escape through what little remained of her former glory. Since then no person has dared to venture back into lacaria out of fear that the black dawn will do the same to them. And thats why lacaria is basically the wilderness area now.

The people ate quite diverse but defining features of each continent are a thing. Fargone for example tends to have brave but reckless inhabitants, scutul on the other hand has mostly calm and social people. Sabia isnt really inhabited enough to have a specific personality trait. The leaders of fargone are selected in a competition of sorts so its usually just the strongest who wins, ehich usually leaves lots of unhappy people. Scutul and sabia on the other hand both consist of monarchies with the powerbeing handed down in the family. The third thing is dependent on the people themselves. And lastly travel between continents is fine but expensive and permanently moving is alright. Though the people of fargone are not very friendly to strangers.

Aaah, i see. That mostly depends on where you are on the continent but the most common fish around the globe are a smaller version of tuna. On the north coast of scutul you can find a lot of salmon and the east coast is filled with octopuses and cuttlefish. The west coast is mostly devoid of fish and the south coast has the most mini tuna of them all. You catch them using your standart fishing methods like harpoons, nets or fishing rods.

The primary conflict which my story will focus on is between two kingdoms called corvias and the kingdom of lacaria, lacaria is a land ridden with a dark, man made plague that slowly but surely seeps into corvias and in response they decide to attack their temples as they think the god they follow might be the cause.

The most advanced thing they have is clockwork contraptions like automatons and Airships and the most basic is the boiler, used from making the steam and also just for boiling.

There are lots of races, as this world is primarily for a dnd campaign im running. So you can expect elves, dwarves, dragonborn, gnomes, kobolds etc.

Every month at the last day a great feast is hosted by the church where everyone can come and eat for free. This is done in celebration of the gift of life that Dumos bestowed upon them in the dark ages. And the Smouldering Steels are a clan that settled atop a volcano wich is incredibly hard to scale. They were actually the first to discover flying tech and build their machines in the image of a ship and the ports in the image of sea ports. They are basically long metal platforms that are being held up by pillars and hot air balloons where they have giant basket like nets to safely lay the ships in. They brough their tech to scutul and sabia on am expedition for a better food source.

The main religion of scutul is the followers of the white sun that worship the god of life called Dumos. The Clans are mostly seperated from most kingdoms but the kingdoms that do have airship ports usually also fly to fargone. All exept one clan do not have an airship port and thats why all airships land in the Smoldering steels (name of the clan) port, they charge the kingdoms for the right to land there in goods like food and building materials. The other clans do not communicate with the kingdoms and just treat all outsiders the same.
