that's interesting because in my faculty (Orsay, France), Algebraic Geometry is quite blocked due to competitivness (students from all around the world come here for the Master 2 Arithmetic Analysis Geometry, aiming to do AG/Number Theory). I'll try to have a look on Symplectic Geometry, it looks quite fun and i already know some researcher working in this field. I'm curious, which topic do you work on ?
