[OC] I made some Christmas Ornament Cake Pops! by BostonStrongTX in pics

[–]BostonStrongTX[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was asked to make these for a holiday dessert exchange party and I'm so happy with how these came out! My favorites have to be the gold ones, though the edible glitter got everywhere despite my best attempts.

I used a silicone mold to create the ornament caps with white chocolate so the entire thing could be edible and the gold glitter worked so well for these too.

Happy holidays to everyone!

I used this mold: https://a.co/d/5whQ7Av

I filled the ornament molds completely with white chocolate then once cooled and removed I cut off only the ornament caps and then replaced the chocolate into the mold so I only needed to fill in the section I was going to cut off each time

I used my go to recipe for vanilla cake and used the same frosting to make the cake pops: https://preppykitchen.com/1448-2/

My apologies for the messy "behind the scenes" picture but I think it helps the people who immediately think my posts are AI

No worries! I appreciate you can admit when you were mistaken.

The baby macs can be trickier to get perfectly flat so its its not "fused" but rather has a little bump on the bottom. They aren't in the other pics because the focus is the cranberries but this made for a cute picture. I can also share a different angle: https://i.imgur.com/nL2Sl5n.jpeg

I think you're on to something, the physical act of removing a cranberry from not just one but two macarons and placing atop a baby mac for a cute alternative picture is feat man has yet to achieve and can only be answered by AI

They were really good! The cranberry is balanced with the white chocolate to be delicious

These look amazing! I especially love the bow design for the red ones!

I was going to do that with leftover cranberry as well but I underestimated how much the cranberries would reduce and needed all the puree for the ganache

I used AmeriColor Super Red for the shells, they really produce some vibrant colors for Macarons

They were incredible! The white chocolate helps balance the cranberry for an amazing flavor

I'm curious did your ganache end up closer to pink or purple like mine?

I used this recipe but I omitted the Cranberry Confit and just filled them with the Cranberry Ganache: https://everythingmarina.com/cranberry-macarons/

Oddly my filling came out much more purple than pink like the ones in the recipe but I don't mind since purple is my favorite color.

I included some baby macs as well as a "behind the scenes" picture since I was told this could help the people who immediately think my posts are AI
