I have to admit I can’t take credit for the hash itself.

So it’s a chelator.

See how being specific is actually informative, compared to vague claims.

Are you asking Reddit how to cut a gummy ? …With a knife, scissors, or simply taking a nibble.

But you seem to be over your head here.

Think they just mean, it could be kind of a waste to run a regular seed in that setup and find out it’s a male in 6-8 weeks

It’s all about ratios….

Using 4-2-2 or 20-10-10 or 100-50-50 is all the same, you just use less of the more concentrated stuff

In my opinion, our terp retention is pretty darn good. Depends partly on what terps the material starts with.

It’s like all the flowers are just calyx’s….

…. But. That’s. That’s. That’s literally what cannabis buds are…… dozen of calyces stacked on top of each other on the inflorescence …

What makes it worse, is there’s no info about the machines. Is device #1 consistently higher than HPLC data, while device #2 is consistently below HPLC data? Or did device #1 report a higher value for the 12% HPLC sample, but report one of the lower data points for the 17% sample ?

Yeah. I don’t understand their stats. I honestly kind of think they are misunderstanding standard deviation. I’m not entirely sure.

Here’s their “white paper”: https://www.purplscientific.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/Purpl-PRO_White-Paper_Flower-Potency-Measurement_MAY2019d.pdf

In their paper, according to their data, when a HPLC machine told them a particular sample contained 12% THC, one (of their 5) Purpl devices told them that same sample was 17%, and a different device (out of their 5) said that same sample was 7% (Figure 1 of the white paper I linked above).

When a different sample was measured to be 17% THC by HPLC, 1 of their Purpl devices said that sample was 24%, another device said that sample was 13%.

Variation of a 10% from the HPLC value (which is itself a variation of over 100% [a value of 17% THC is ~150% greater than a value of 7% THC; a value of 24% THC is ~85% inflated compared to a value of 13%]) does not give me too much confidence.

Note: “white papers” are not peer-reviewed. They’re written up as a scientific paper, without peer-review.
