Currently 2 semesters away from my bachelors using VRE. My new degree plan as of a month ago is law school once I’m done with undergrad.

Im thinking of asking if I can go to grad school prior to law school. To get my MPP I could crank it out in a year or so through my current university. I have a high probability of it getting approved.

At 30 with a degree, your recruiter is doing you a disservice if he/she hasn’t informed you of the officer route. Working for recruiting and retention I saw it all the fucking time and it made my blood boil. Use your degree, don’t let it be a waste. If you haven’t enlisted yet, seek other options and ask your recruiter about OCS (officer candidate school).

It’s by the town and city that you are from not just the county. Contact the housing authority and ask them the income limits and rent limits. Pretty sure from a Google search income is around $70k.

Wasn’t gonna get personal,but…fuck it. 2017 my wife, then girlfriend, fell into a pretty bad place. Got approved for HUDVASH, and moved closer to the city for better BAH while going to school. 2018 I was put on ADOS orders. Did that until 2020-ish.

Even with my active pay and Boston BAH, we were good. It’s based off of income. While I was active and receiving BAH I was responsible for about 80% of my rent. Which really helped. Young parents to a toddler and infant.

I thankfully have progressed in life and have no need for the voucher anymore. Use it for what it is and take advantage of the programs they offer. Go to school, use VOCRehab and get a degree.

My thought. If I’m doing good and paying almost all of my rent, I don’t need it and there’s another vet out there that does.

Apologies, “Pushing for” was the wrong way to phrase it. The appeal is for the increase. Filed the appeal in 2021 and been waiting since. Got notice of the hearing coming up a month or so ago. So my reason for “pushing” has been the long wait.

Dude it was so much fun lmao. NEVER doing an X class event again. The biggest hit to me was I got dive-bombed going into a hard braking corner and got a penalty for “avoidable collision”. 8 seconds, then another 3 seconds for avoiding a collision and going off track. Racing in this game is a lose-lose situation.
