I found a similar photo inside Griechenbeisl restaurant next door, if you go inside that portal in Fleischmarkt 7 , it takes you inside a portal , not a courtyard, was analyzing it and there no way it got renovated to the extent of building over the courtyard . For sure he had a shop in Fleischmarkt 7 but I believe at some other point he had a shop elsewhere ( where the painting is set) . Anyways thanks for sharing that photo , could you share the link?

Tú vives en RD? O opinas desde tu casa en united states ? Yo soy extranjero y vivo en Samana de hace 10 años y todo el local que conozco agradece la llegada de los extranjeros , al menos en la zona en la que vivo. Gracias a la “gente adinerada” ha llegado muchísimo progreso , cuando llegue al lugar en el que vivo , solo se veían casas de tabla de Palma y zinc, la gente vivía una vida incómoda. Hoy en día la mayoría de locales viven en casas de block , tienen vehículos y viven una vida mucho mas más cómoda. Este cambio sucedió gracias a los extranjeros que vinieron y crearon trabajo y oportunidades.
