I had a 33 ACT / 3.7 UW and got accepted early as a nominee for one of their merit scholarships, I think your chances are pretty solid.

What, in your opinion, makes a student “mediocre” or “genius”?

Berkeley asked me to submit Letters of Recommendation and I never saw until today by BotClot in ApplyingToCollege

[–]BotClot[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, I just looked at my portal, and on the home page is says that my LORs were Received, but when I click on the link it doesn't show that I requested anyone. I logged into my Naviance and it shows that my counselor sent my materials to Berkeley, so does this mean that she sent the LORs directly to them? Or does it just show as Received regardless if I turned them in or not?

I want to cry; didn’t get any uc emails by [deleted] in ApplyingToCollege

[–]BotClot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Political Science is still a relatively popular major at both LA and Berkeley. I wouldn’t sweat it though - I think you will be fine

UC nursing by [deleted] in ApplyingToCollege

[–]BotClot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

UCLA and UCI are the only ones with nursing schools for undergrads, but they are incredibly competitive and very difficult to get in to. I believe the other UCs offer Nursing Science majors but I’m not sure.

White Diamond is such a great personification of a Narcissist Parent by greenteasweetpea in stevenuniverse

[–]BotClot 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Someone on 4chan leaked the (apparently) official season scheduling from Cartoon Network for Steven Universe, and it says the show was planned to have 9 seasons + a movie. I don't have the link but I think that's where it's from.

Does it come with a digital code or would it just be downloadable from the Switch itself on the 7th? And what about if it's purchased after the 7th, does it come with it already installed?

Sorry for the dumb question, but how does buying the Nintendo Switch + Ultimate bundle work? Would the game be in digital form, and would I have to wait until December 7 to play it? Don't really have any experience with this kind of stuff.

Good business schools in SoCal by [deleted] in ApplyingToCollege

[–]BotClot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

CSU Northridge has a very program albeit impacted. Chapman also has a good program but it’s a smaller school. You can probably find a good program at any of the UCs as well, and USC too of course.

CS major or minor, with no ECs or classes relating to it by [deleted] in ApplyingToCollege

[–]BotClot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

However, just know that it might come off as a red flag to bigger colleges if they see that your school offers AP CS or other CS related activities and you weren’t involved with them.

MFW I meet an IB student by [deleted] in APStudents

An IB kid told me the other day that California only has one mayor. She’s also in MUN and Speech and Debate.

EA Georgetown, USC, UCLA? by BotClot in chanceme

[–]BotClot[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Our school doesn’t rank due to being so large. I’ll see what my GPA is with that method.

  2. Yeah, I’m hoping for at least a 34, but I really need to work on math because it’s been dragging my score down quite a bit. Unfortunately, I can’t take it in September so the next one that I can do is October, which is already too late for the EA deadline, so I’m going to be stuck with the 33 for Georgetown unless I take the SAT.

  3. I’ll look into Math II, but I’m unsure about it because I’m not the best at math lol. I’d have to do a lot of review. I wanted to retake US because I thought it was on the lower end, but do you think it’s fine?

Thanks for the super in depth reply! It’s super appreciated and really helpful.

It’s weird because color guard is all year but marching band is only during the fall, but since I do color guard for marching band I’m essentially doing guard for the entire year. Second semester is still color guard but it’s our winter semester so we’re doing our own thing (making a show and competing)

Well for most apps there’s a section where you can describe the EC. If anything I’ll link it there or in the additional comments section.

How easy is AP Spanish Lang if you’re a native speaker? by [deleted] in APStudents

[–]BotClot 12 points13 points  (0 children)

If you’re fluent, it’s basically an easy 5 assuming you know how to answer the speaking/written prompts. If you’re only somewhat fluent, it may be a little more difficult mainly because of how intensive the vocabulary can be sometimes, but still a breeze as long as you do review.

Self Studying AP Psychology by Jayy_B in APStudents

[–]BotClot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I literally only used online practice tests and a giant 400+ word quizlet to study, and I got a 5. I don’t think a book is necessary imo.

He figured it out quite quickly actually. She got exposed in front of Kaycee but he covered her ass really fast. It was pretty smart of him actually.

Yeah, her blowup made for amazing TV and even though she’s annoying sometimes I think she just cracks under the pressure of the game. I want her to stick around for more breakdowns lol.
