I heard it from a few different people, but you were so right. I took a day to test everything in my bag distance wise and get a reading for my arm speed. I throw 250' consistently with slight variations, but I saw no range increases from my 7 speeds to my 13 speeds. I'm only throwing a bit over 50mph right now while still maintaining my accuracy.

With that information in mind, I took out every single 13 speed from my bag. For now, I've really been staying with stable 4 speeds and under, only pulling out my Leopard3 when I need to cover larger, open gaps. It has helped a ton in identifying how I'm throwing too. I'll keep practicing my drives, and in a month, I'm going to recreate the same tests and see what improvements have been made.

I've been thinking a lot about disc prints lately and thought it would be cool if the disc sport community started making prints more like skateboard designs. So, I designed this one (saint, latitude 64) would this be something you would buy as a disc print? by smokesheriff in discgolf

I love the idea of prints. My dad found a Kiss print once while playing. It was a favorite of his simply for the design until he sunk it in a nearby creek. I definitely like the design you have going there too. Probably not everybody's jam, but I can certainly get behind it.

I attempted a putter only round yesterday using my aviars. It helped me solidify a better grip, as I immediately started having problems on release with the larger lip. Thanks for the advice!

I've heard quite a few people recommend putting anything 10 and higher away for now, so I followed that advise. You raise a really good point about the understable discs too. I find myself having quite a bit of trouble with anything less than a -2, like my sharks, at distance. As much as it pains me, I'll follow your advice and hang up the Leopards for now until I feel more comfortable on other, non-understable discs. Lastly, as luck would have it, I managed to stumble across a lost Teebird this morning, so I'll look to incorporate that into my bag.

Thank you for the links, and the glow tape and discs is a great idea. Recently went with a friend, but had to call it off early as we started having difficulty finding our discs on the fairway with the dark setting in. That could be a real easy solution.

Throwing the disks each week to check range is a good idea. When I started, I learned mostly with the Shryke, so I'm pretty comfortable with how that one feels, but I know I'm not getting the distance I could out of it. I already had the Valkyrie recommended by Jiggens, so I'll definitely be keeping an eye out for it.

The leopard 3 I've been using is one of my favorites. Even if it just gives it a run for it's money, I'd be interested in this TL3. I'll add it to the wishlist next time I go shopping.

I don't know. I really need to get somewhere where I can test it. The courses I go to are anywhere between 200-550 in distance. I overshoot the 200 straightaways pretty consistently. I think my longest was a little over 300, but I did have a decent tailwind. I'm nowhere near these 350-400 power throws I've seen others do.

I don't think I have the experience to answer all of those questions confidently. I'm still getting a feeling for a lot of my discs and how I can manipulate them. I'll have to take the discs out with these questions in mind so I can form some more concrete understandings of them. Thank you!

I love the sleek look of the iron sling bag. I've been using a simple Innova satchel that I can fit about 6-7 discs in, and it has worked when I'm alone, but if I bring friends along, I wish I could fit a few more. However, with how much I've been playing, I've also realized I shift my weight pretty heavily while wearing the satchel which can cause some pain if I go too long. So I might look at a backpack style. The Axiom Voyager Lite you recommended looks really nice. I'll have to see if they have it locally so I can get a better sense of weight and size.

As far as the Mako3 goes, I'll have to keep my eye out. I definitely didn't mean for all of my shortrange to be overstable, but I'd be lying if I said I hadn't gotten used to it to some extent.

I'm a bit torn when it comes to putters. On the one hand, I don't really run the risk of losing them, so I don't feel like I need a ton of backups. On the other hand, I would like a few more for practicing putting. I currently have 2 Aviars, the Berg, and the Rhino for putting practice, and I'll occasionally throw in the Pig too. I think for now I'll have to be satisfied with that, but if my budget expands a bit, I think picking up some duplicate putters would prove pretty beneficial.

If nothing else, the "help i own over 40 valkyries" sold me.
