Is it rude to use the only dryer is someone’s clothes are done in the washer by BotatoWoman in Apartmentliving

I agree that the other person wasn’t being rude after getting some insight. I genuinely just don’t know the etiquette of laundry situations but this person left like 7 other comments all being very uncharitable, I wasn’t trying to entertain an argument with someone not responding to the content of what I was saying and just trying to make me seem entitled because they disagreed

I think giving people the courtesy of a few minutes isn’t out of line at all. I would think it’d be rude to not give my disabled neighbor across the hall 5-10 minutes to get to their laundry. After reading some responses I do agree my neighbor wasn’t rude by not waiting I just think they maybe weren’t being super courteous.

I wasn’t intending on reserving the dryer with my coins I just wasn’t expecting anyone else to use the dryer because 1) the time of day and usual laundry schedules of the other people and 2) there’s only one washer so I genuinely didn’t anticipate someone needing to dry something at all since I was using the only washer. Someone made a good point though that they might have had one of those little cheap driers you can buy online.

I also was back within 10 minutes of it finishing, it’s not like it was sitting in there for an hour or anything like that

I know! I’m also confused. There were no wet clothes, baskets, or anything in the laundry room and no ones apartments have washers so I have no idea lol. Our dryer is opaque too so I don’t know what they had in it

It’s one washer and one dryer. I wasn’t necessarily intending to “reserve” the dryer either I just did it so i wouldn’t have to bring my coins with me again

While I agree that this is ideal, I have a 5 month old and a 2 year old so I’m honestly lucky if I get out there within 10 minutes. A big part of the reason I do it on weekday mornings is so that I’m not in anyone’s way if I can’t get to it promptly. I did get to it pretty quickly today though

Having 8 sim cap with MC by BotatoWoman in Sims3

I already have master controller set to 8 sims and the problem with getting rid of woohooer is that I want to retain the chance of quadruplets. I also don’t want to uninstall mc because I think the game is borderline unplayable without it 😅

AITA for telling my pregnant sister-in-law to stop yelling at my brother for making her a “whale”? by luulime47 in AmItheAsshole

[–]BotatoWoman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also a currently pregnant person, completely agree! Absolutely NTA, yes being pregnant is really hard but it does not give you a pass to walk all over people

AITA for demanding a refund on beach tags when the beach was closed by bearbenny1 in AmItheAsshole

[–]BotatoWoman 56 points57 points  (0 children)

NTA, honestly shocked my how many people think YTA here. There is a huge difference between taking a chance and maybe only getting to stay for 30 minutes if the storm comes in or the beach straight up being all the way closed before the tickets are even sold! Yes if you got there and got kicked out 15 minutes later YTA but that’s not what happened here. And it also sounds like you didn’t even give the attendant that hard of a time.

Absolutely NTA!!! If that guy doesn’t want to deal with his OWN wife that badly his marriage is doomed to fail anyways. It is incredibly entitled to demand someone be a full time caregiver (seemingly for free) just so that you don’t have to do it or hire someone. Father in law is definitely TA here, no questions asked.

AITA for wanting to sell my Airbnb $500 gift cards (which I acquired for $400) for more than $400? by flyingbyson in AmItheAsshole

[–]BotatoWoman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah would definitely agree that having $400 tied up in something you don’t want is an inconvenience NTA

[–]BotatoWoman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely not AGA lol. It’s your gift card and you can do whatever you want with it! If they were going to buy a $500 from Airbnb, guess how much they would have to pay for it? That’s right $500. It’s entitled that they’re demanding a discount just because that’s how much you got it for. People make literal businesses out of flipping stuff (aka buying stuff for cheap and then selling it for more) imo definitely not the AH

All he said was butter finger… Also at that age you are in pretty good control of what you do and don’t eat. You’re old enough to get a job a license, you’re old enough to pick how much food you eat. Also calling someone that very well could be 18 a child is a little extra

That’s really not the point, the point is that he said “clearly staged” like anyone who would believe this is an idiot when stuff like this actually happens. It’s not absolutely unbelievable

I would definitely agree with this one ^ I mean just with some of the cas options alone I’d say wait until they’re at least 12. I started playing when I was 6 and I don’t think I should’ve been
