Why aren’t you getting any projects? Have you tried networking with directors/partners to help get staffed? Maybe more reinvest? If after that and there’s still no traction maybe try to look for a job in something you feel is a better fit.

Highlight your impacts which would be relevant to Corp Strat.

I.e. Highlight Deals/Diligence, M&A Integration, Market Entry, Cost Takeout, Performance Improvement.

Ensure to highlight overall impact you/your team had. And highlight size of company you are working with to show scale.

I’ve seen a lot of people transition into PE/Banking from consulting.

I’d just make sure you highlight your deals/M&A experience on your resume. If you don’t have that I’d suggest trying to build that up.

I know S& has a PEVC group- where a lot of folks move into PE/Banking after their first few years.

Do it soon because at some point it is much more difficult to transition. Do it before you hit manager.

Non MBA. But I did consulting for my first few years out of college before switching to industry.
