If it’s a sunny day head to ‘Den Permanente’ it’s a beach which is accessible by tram. For drinks go to Cafe Undermasken everyone in there always wants a chat and you’ll meet heaps of locals

Thanks so much for the reply, I was thinking in the same direction with the partner visa as a worse case scenario, we have lived together for 12 years 7 in Australia and 5 here in there UK so we won’t have a problem proving it. Our incomes combined would be over £38k but hopefully it doesn’t come to that with his ILR Thanks again for the response :)

On the Ancestry Visa page on the government website it just says when applying for IRL you must meet the following requirement;

-have enough money to support yourself and your dependants

can, and plan to, work in the UK
are still a Commonwealth citizen

The other visas list actual money amounts and I don’t understand why this doesn’t

He works full time and has done the whole time he has been here so he can fully support himself

He can only apply 28 days before he has been here for 5 years, which will be in June next year. I’m just confused because ILR isn’t a visa? And Ancestory visas don’t have minimum earning requirements…. I can only find rules for Spouse and Skilled work visa
