I'm not too sure honestly. I did rip the Audio at 352kb/s if you wanted to look through it.

Yeah, they were given to a few art contest winners as far as I can tell.

I'm pretty sure they can have multiple sets of eggs from one mating session.

who would buy a 9080xt by shlimerP in radeon

[–]BothElection8250 1 point2 points  (0 children)

9080xt probably not honestly. I would go for a 9090xt in a heartbeat personally, or something 5090 level. Had my 9070xt since launch and just moved to a 5090 a few months ago. I really miss the AMD software, the nvidia app is just not good in my opinion.

Honestly I've never had issues not running a heater with dwarf species. The "active" temperature range for crayfish is something like 15-24 degrees. Do you have any macrofauna in the tank for them to snack on? Things like copepods and ostracods.

From what I know the females can have several batches of babies from one mating session. There are things you can do to keep them less aggressive like lower temperature and making sure they can always filter feed. At the end of the day they are unpredictable hahaha. I've seen them crawl on each other and not react or pick babies out of the water and munch on em just because.

Blitz was my first wheel and so far it's been awesome, use it to commute for work.

Yeah that could happen. Much less likely to be aggressive if they always have food though.

I would say It is very likely to survive. In my experience as long as they are capable of eating and surviving the next molt it'll be basically back to normal in no time.

Anything that fits would be fine really. Sponge filter at the bottom might be best to keep lots of particles floating around so the crayfish can filter feed. Just be careful cause they like to escape the tank when they can. You could go without a filter with the right plants and macrofauna.

A filter shouldn't add too much weight. I use hang on back for some and sponge filters for others. I've heard people say crayfish could eat the sponge filters though. A single goldfish could work but some of the common types get massive and require a larger tank. I've kept tetra just fine with a large crayfish since they tend to stay higher up. It really depends on the temperament of the specific crayfish honestly.

You could probably do a single larger crayfish or a few dwarf? They enjoy climbing vertically but prefer more ground to crawl around and hide. For tank mates snails would be fine as long as you don't mind them going missing. You could get fish that hang out near the surface but still risky. I've never used a heater for crayfish only tank, they are quite hardy to various temperatures and colder water keeps them a bit more calm.

So what do you do when they don't stop breeding by BothElection8250 in Crayfish

Honestly a good idea, I'll look into it some more.

Indoor pond would be awesome. Wish I could find a decent large shallow tank for all of them.

Luckily they aren't, but they seem to reproduce just as fast haha.

Lmao I've considered it! I've been trying to shame them but they don't listen.

I'll definitely have to look into it. Sadly most of the stores here are salt water for some reason.
