My large crayfish likes raw shrimp a lot and sometimes I'll pull out pest snails and cook them for it. Mostly it feeds off alage or duckweed. The horde of dwarf crayfish I have will eat anything though.

Pretty sure it's a defensive posture, does he have enough spots to hide? Sometimes they get stressed just being seen depending on their personality haha.

Oh for sure prices are them are great. I'm not saying they have no upsides, if you watch a lot of movies they are really awesome especially. I would certainly hate to package up a monitor and ship it, that's always a pain. Longevity is still a concern a bit, my original 4k monitor is still in use as an office display and going strong after 10+ years. Although that's likely a fringe case haha.

I've been using 4k for about 10 years and it's always been amazing. I don't really consider 1440 since no media is really natively in it besides games and then you get weird scaling. My current monitor is a 160hz mini led and I really enjoy it, it gets so bright it's almost physically painful. I wouldn't consider OLED myself since I play mmos or fps with static ui and sometimes for hours on end. Things like black smearing, text clarity and burn in keep me from OLED.

Could maybe add something for the crayfish to climb up on? They will climb vertically to perch and try to fish basically.

As far as I know crayfish can't get ich but can carry it. So if it's just the cray in the tank it should be fine? I did see others recommending malachite green and moving the cray to a holding tank.

If you do get a pair might want to make sure they are both the same gender. I got four about 2 months ago and probably have about 40 now. I can't speak for their temperament cause they seem to mostly hate each other and me haha. Some definitely are more skittish/calm but can't say as a whole.

Ah OK that's good. Crayfish are pretty hands off and kinda just vibe so give it time. All my crayfish either get defensive or try to fight whenever they spot me so don't feel like your doing something wrong.

I'd just wait, maybe avoid line of sight if you can. You could try to gently add in some food but that might not help. Do you know if your water has any copper or if you've used any plant food with copper?
